Had issues with the solenoid on the propane tank situated under our LTV rv. I use this magnetic donut to open the valve and keep it open for 3 weeks during a trip. Saved our vacation as it took 1 month to get a new solenoid. A must for RVers with a propane solenoid. You don't want to have to use it, but it is a lifesaver if your solenoid goes bad on you...

This is a decent solenoid tool for manually actuating solenoids and works well enough. The only thing that I wish was included was a case to store it in. I have another solenoid magnet made by CPS that came with a nice plastic screw-top storage case, which works great to keep the magnet clean and lessen the chance for damage in your tool bag. But other than that this tool is functional & will serve it's purpose.

Like the title says..."IYKYK" that when you need one of these, you really need one of these and how much time it can save when trying to diagnose a HVACR issue on a piece of machinery. Having one of these and knowing how, when and where to use it separates the technicians from the still "in the books" apprentices. Having this in your bag of tricks is VERY handy to tell if stuff is working as it should or to pinpoint a failure mode on stuff that's acting screwy. This a a GREAT VALUE option compared to much more expensive "name brand" options out there. I'm very happy to have this little guy in my box and I actually wished I had one 3 weeks ago for a particular job but my last one grew legs and walked away, right out of my tech bag all on its own, Etched with my name and paint markered....imagine that! One little nit pick is that there's a little tiny thin skin of plastic flashing in the core hole that I'm going to pop off with my utility knife. No big deal.. especially at this price point and I'm NOT COMPLAINING or upset about it at all! It's a non-issue...but had to be transparent and truthful.I'm happy to know there are options out there under the $20 mark that work just as well as a supply house, named after a stinging insect, brand unit costing more than double any where that sells them!Yup...came in the mail...tested the field and it's exactly the same strength field as the name brand one I had (or that we all have used) that went on permanent vacation to another tech bag.I would recommend these.. especially if you need multiple or you have employees that you supply with tooling like I do. I will be back to order many more now that I have one in hand and I know what I know about it. Thank you for a quality item at an affordable price! I'm so happy to have one in my own tool kit again! You won't be disappointed with this one....especially when you get it and realized what your holding compared to what you paid!

This thing is a decent tool for manually lifting solenoids. It works fine and is a good value. The one gripe I have is that the plastic is a bit cheap feeling. It has that brittle feel to it. I have used other brands before and they are built with a heavier plastic that seems more durable. I wouldn't say this isn't worth getting, but I will say don't drop it. I don't think it'd last long if you do.

I use this in reversing valves on heat pumps to diagnose failed solenoid coils and malfunctioning valves. So far it has done the job every time. Very durable so far I’ve dropped this from pretty high up and it hasn’t broken or chipped. I’m very happy with the performance of this tool. I definitely recommend it.
