Dogs love them, but they are messy. The debris sticks horribly to fluffy beds.

This was supposed to be splinter resistant, my small dog 11lbs had it in splinters in less than 10mins. Very very disappointed. I bought this after reading a review somewhere but useless, splinters.

Good Update: As our puppy ages and needs a more durable chew that isn’t rock hard as her adult teeth are almost fully in, I contacted the company for possibility of an intermediate chew. They will be rolling out in May with new sizes and more variety in terms of durability and hardness and will have an intermediate level available. As it’s cellulose (basically an insoluble fiber) and veggie oil, even though she has some flakes in her poop, she doesn’t have any digestive issues at all nor an upset stomach thankfully!….We have a close to 5 month old mini Austrialian Labradoodle. Due to her mix of several breeds, she will be a “mouthy” dog and is definitely teething. Our problem in finding a chew toy is this mix of durability and “give” for a dog her age, preventing damage to teeth without it having to be a treat and also not being concerned that she will chew off giant chunks or if they will make her sick from the small pieces. We currently have the small softer one, it has lasted way longer than the puppy and modest chewer nylabones that are more “rubbery” and appropriately for young teeth, yet seem to get destroyed quickly. Our puppy would go at them and I was constantly checking, removing pieces that were coming off in larger that rice size pieces. The shavings that she consumed would cause her to throw up.The puppy power chews were much too hard, and she avoids them (which is probably better for her dental health). This one has seemed to fit the bill (along with a Petstages chew maple wood stick, though she prefers this one and this one has zero nylon). The pieces that come off are definitely smaller than a grain of rice (you will have to dustbust the pieces), it’s soft enough for give and has last two weeks!!!! And, she does not get sick from it. I think she actually naturally digests less of it because it’s not sticky. It’s the perfect size for a puppy or smaller dog who is teething and needs something easier on the tummy and needs a truly modest chew that isn’t a food treat.
