This is either going to be a very cool little device or a complete waste of time (obvious statement I guess). I'm trying to gauge the efficiency of the cooling systems in my saltwater inboard engines. Over time, calcium, barnacles, general junk clogs the heat exchangers and can cause the engines to overheat. They make cleaning solutions that you pump through the system to break it all up, but it's hard (for me) to tell just how much impact the process is having just by the change in water color. I suspect there are fancy gauges to make this determination, but I wanted to experiment with something less expensive to prove the theory first. My hope is that this simple gauge will show some differential between before and after to measure what improvement, if any, the process has had.The case and turbine is plastic, which for me is a good thing, but I can't say how it will hold up. There is power button that I can find, so it requires the back plate to be removed in order to take the batteries out and power the gauge off. That seems a bit odd, but whatever.I'm going to the boat in a couple of weeks to test my theory and will post an update.

Your ad didn't specify that the meter had british threads and 2 adaptors will cost about $48.00 A very good way to loose any repeat business.
