As an avid home cook, I was excited to add the Kalorik MAXX Advance Air Fryer to my kitchen arsenal, lured by promises of healthier frying and convenient cooking. Upon unboxing, I was impressed by its sleek design and compact size, perfect for my modest kitchen space. However, my initial enthusiasm quickly waned as I attempted to navigate its perplexing controls.The first hurdle was deciphering the cryptic symbols adorning the control panel. Instead of clear labels indicating functions like temperature, time, or presets, I was met with a maze of obscure icons that left me scratching my head. Despite consulting the user manual, which offered little elucidation, I found myself resorting to trial and error to operate the appliance.Once I managed to power it on, setting the desired temperature and cooking time proved to be another exercise in frustration. The interface lacked the intuitive responsiveness I had come to expect from modern kitchen appliances, requiring multiple attempts to input the desired settings. This was exacerbated by the absence of tactile feedback, leaving me uncertain whether my commands had been registered.Moreover, the dearth of preset options further compounded the issue, forcing me to manually adjust settings for different recipes. While I appreciate the flexibility this theoretically affords, the convoluted controls made it a cumbersome process, detracting from the convenience promised by an air fryer.Despite these usability shortcomings, I cannot deny the appliance's efficacy in delivering crispy and evenly cooked results. Once I managed to wrestle with the controls and set the appropriate parameters, it performed admirably in frying everything from chicken wings to vegetables, with minimal oil required.In conclusion, while the XYZ Air Fryer excels in its core function of cooking food with efficiency and crispiness, its confounding controls detract significantly from the user experience. We live this oven...I have cooked roast, whole chickens, and fresh homemade bread and cakes in it and it has never let me down. Now I don't have to heat up the entire kitchen to cook. Lived it so much I gifted it to my daughter's... We all use it daily. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Disappointing the air fryer came out of the box with large dents like it had been dropped twice before it went into the packaging. Delivery box didn’t have any marks, or dents.

This was a very frustrating thing to try to figure out as the buttons/interface does not work like standard kitchen appliances and the instructions weren't the most clear. However, once I got it up and running it's been quite the game changer for me! I did learn from some trial and error that this gets things cooked more quickly than a standard air fryer-- which means food is done sooner! I also like all the trays and other items that come with this so you can practically cook anything in it.
