Got these as a gift for my mom. She wanted something to help keep her cords together while traveling. And she loved these. They are very very magnetic! The silicone is very strong, great quality. These are made very well, great for the price. Happy with them!

These Reusable, Magnetic Cable Ties are a wonderful solution to an ongoing problem - how to organize the never-ending wires needed for my electronics. I always dreamed of using something other than twist-ties. I ordered a few packs of these and can’t wait until I sit down with all my loose wires in front of me and start wrapping. What fun!

Like almost every family these days, we have a myriad of electronic devices—and with them, a mountain of charging cables. We gave up on twist ties long ago since they wear out and break pretty quickly. I use Velcro straps for larger, thicker cords, but I didn’t have a good solution for all the thinner cords that are so common now. These silicone magnetic cable ties have been exactly what we needed. The silicone is high-quality, with a nice balance of stretch and retention. They’re flexible enough to loop through bulkier cord ends (including but not limited too USB-C, micro USB, and Lightning cables), yet tight enough to stay in place without sliding down. There’s plenty of length to secure even longer cables—these wrapped up a 6-foot cord with no trouble. For shorter cables, I found that wrapping the cord into more loops helped bulk it up in the tie so it looked better and felt more secure. The magnets are impressively strong. They’re not going to fall off accidentally—you have to intentionally pull them apart, which means the cables stay neatly bundled. These magnetic ties work exactly as intended and will definitely help us extend the life of our cables by preventing tangles, bends, and damage. I’m thoroughly pleased.

Like most folks in the modern world, I have lots of electronics and more cables than I can count. I have tried twist ties, Velcro strips, rubber bands and other methods of keeping my cords wrapped up. Some of these are a pain, because it takes a few minutes to untie and refasten it all to use and then store the items. These cord wraps seemed like a simple, but innovative way to solve that problem.I love the color assortment: I can choose from fuchsia, cyan, goldenrod and lime to tie up a cord. Because they are a good size, you can wrap these around a bundle of cords as thick as about 1/2 inch or a centimeter in diameter. Fastening them is simple—just wrap once around a cable and let the magnetic ends find each other. Unfastening them is a little trickier, because the magnets are strong. You can either slide the ends in opposite directions until they disengage, or you can wedge a finger or nail between them. There’s even a place where you can slip these over the cord to keep them from getting lost when the cord is in use; however, it only works if one end of the cord is small enough to slip through the slots. If you have a bunch of cables together in a bin, there’s a chance the magnetic cable ties can get jumbled up. They definitely tried to attach themselves to different ends in the package! That can work to your advantage, though, if you need to double up a couple of ties to wrap around a bigger bundle of cord or hang them on the side of a file cabinet. I am also concerned that the silicone strips may get worn and stretched out over time and tear or break like an old rubber band.In addition to power cords, these could be used to tie up shoe laces, ribbon, hair bands and other small, lightweight items. I would not recommend these as bookmarks, because they are too thick. I also would not waste these on bread wrappers, since they might get thrown away or lost. At almost $10 for the 8 pack (about $1.25 each), these should are a bit pricy for that.

This cable tie has been the best I've used. I have traveled with them, used them at home, and even carried them in my purse, and this little cable is a true workhorse. The cable never loosened or broke free. This has been the reason I have tossed several in the trash. The cable is strong and sturdy, yet flexible.I also appreciate the cheery, bright colors that are pleasant to look at. I try to surround myself with soothing, lovely colors, and I avoid the standard black or white, and love the color choices. The cable is also stretchy and has two little slits so users can feed the cable through the cable or use the cable without threading your cord too!
