Our Story
In 1997, Kanu Surf set out to build and sell better board shorts for Men, Women and Children.
Founded right in the heart of the Garment District in New York City, they first sold door-to-door to local surfers, mom and pop surf shops, and a few gift stores at local beaches. A few good years of making waves, always focusing on quality and value, and Kanu managed to land on the racks of department stores, sport shops and anywhere swimwear is sold – nationwide.
Recently, Kanu Surf has successfully partnered with Amazon as its top online distributor of its complete line of swim trunks and swimwear.
Kanu continues to innovate and bring great new styles consistently to stores across the country. Swim Trunks, Boardshorts, Rashguards, Swim Shirts. Styles that are functional and colorful – for competition, for relaxation, for a day at the beach – for everyone.

The product is okay but the color from the shirt bled and stained my daughters swimsuits.

Great rash guard sun protecting swim top. Love the purple color - matches the purple Kanu stripe bathing suit perfectly. Ordered a 4T and it is a little big (not a bad thing - maybe last a couple of swim seasons). Daughter wears a 4T in street clothes (32 lbs and 40 inches tall). I would recommend if you wear a 4T that you pick the 4T and be prepared for it to be a little big. Arms were a little long and sits below the waist line. I just roll up the sleeves. Glad we bought it.

This is a fantastic rash guard--coordinates with my daughter's Kanu suit. Sporty, cute, protective. Only criticism is that is really does run small-order a size up. My tall 6.5 year old is wearing size 7 this summer in most clothes, but we needed a size 8 in this (and the matching Kanu suit)

Nice color, seems to be decent quality. Fits well. We've had it in the pool a couple times and it seems to be holding up just fine. Covers the neck and wrists. Cuts way down on the amount of time we have to spend putting on sunscreen before the pool!
