Pliers seem nice and sturdy and well made. Cutters work well. The pliers don’t twist with hard pressure as my others did. Nice that you can do a few things with these, like straightening eyes and holding hooks while tightening knots, eliminating the need for some other small tools.

Cutting jaws are very sharp. Took it out on three trips on the ocean and thus far is holding true. I do clean and oil before and after trips

Purchased these pliers before a deep sea fishing trip not expecting to use them much because the deck hands had their own to use. But found out how nice it was to have my own to remove hooks, tie on new hooks and leaders, and cut lines. The handles were awesome and non slip, very comfortable in my hand. Easy to retrieve out of holster, easy to put back in. The cutters were sharp, easy and fast to use. My new favorite fishing tool!!!

I've had these pliers for a couple of years, now. I like these pliers. Handle is very comfortable. I like that the steel is 420 stainless. The carbide cutters seem to be still as sharp as they were two years ago when I bought them.Only drawback is the holster. I don't like that it rotates. When I am walking, the holster tends to rotate and the pliers end up upside down and fall to the ground. That is very frustrating. This happens a lot! However, I found a fix. I strung some 50lb braid through the holes on the holster and through the clip of the holster. I tied a uni knot to connect the two ends of the braid. There's a little play in the line, but I found I like that because I can adjust the holster when I am sitting in my car with the pliers assembly still attached to my belt (sometimes the pliers like to stab me in my side while sitting in my car, so I just adjust it so it doesn't. Wouldn't be able to do this if there was no play in the briaded line).Overall, these would get a 5 star rating. That rotating holster is a pain in the a@@. But, my fix works.
