I was excited to be able to order something that I thought was going to be in my size, 14 wide. Disappointingly, these boots appear to be undersized. My toes were quite bunched up. I’ve had to return them and will be looking for. Sad thing was they were on sale when I ordered them.

First of all, I have worked demanding construction trades all my life, served as an infantryman in the army over the past decade and prefer running as my go to form of cardio, so I very much appreciate well fitted, high performing footwear and I know they can make a world of difference. I currently use this boot in the telecommunications industry where I'm climbing ladders, telephone poles, etc. I'm on my feet all day and these boots are form fitted to my feet (I have flat, wide feet), lightweight and comfortable!! I fell in love with these boots during a hike to break them in prior to using them at work.

Very comfortable, and waterproof until they're finished...

Great boot! The "AL" boot with the metal grommets lasted much longer than the other version with nylon loops. This is my third pair, I broke the sole on one pair, and broke one of the quick-lace things on the second pair, but overall the boot is worth it. Keen is the only brand of steel toe boots I will buy, and I typically wear them from 10-11 hours a day for 5 or 6 days a week. Very comfortable, sturdy, and just the right level of arch support. The large lugs wear well on concrete, but still offer decent traction in mud and snow. Sole absorbs shock and is flexible and moves with you. The rubber bumper over the toe is a great feature, prevents the common problem of the steel toe showing through the leather after repeated bumps and wear from kneeling. Hopefully Keen will not discontinue this style for a long time!

I rarely write reviews, but I felt that I must for these boots. I have been using a pair of Keen Pittsburgh's for the last year and a half as an electrician, and they have been fantastic. However, the waterproofing has failed me and the soles are starting to peel apart a bit. I could probably easily get another half a year out of them, but I don't like water getting into them and the squeaky noise they make. When looking for new boots, I tried on every pair of Keen's available around my town, but nobody had these in stock. I tried almost all their others, but didn't find anything as comfortable as the Pittsburgh. I was strongly considering getting another Pittsburgh, but really liked the look of these and decided to give them a shot. And boy am I glad I did. These boots feel more similar to Pittsburghs than any other Keen IMO, and better. They have a bit more room in the toe box, and the arch support feels much nicer to me than the Pittsburgh, which I eventually replaced with some anatomical insoles. I think I will just keep these insoles in them. They feel more sturdy than the Pittsburgh, being of all leather construction, and the sole feels a little sturdier too. My ONLY gripe with the sole, and boots in general, is that they seem to be more slippery than the Pittsburgh, as I was sliding around on the ice at the jobsite today quite a bit. However, I can't know for sure if the Pittsburgh would have performed better in that situation or not. The middle of the sole feels very grippy and works well on concrete, just not ice. Only one speed lace makes them quicker to get on and off versus 3, and doesn't compromise the fit. They are lighter weight, almost the same height(Braddock is higher in the sides but lower in the back), and perfect height IMO. And best of all, they are made in the next state over from me and proudly state it. Overall fantastic, please KEEN keep making these and I will keep buying them.
