I was able to have hot tea going down the road because of this kettle. It took about 15 to 20 minutes for it to get the water really good and hot to where I could barely put the tip of my finger in it. I seen some reviews where people were saying that it didn't work or it took a very very long time, I think you may have gotten a defective kettle because the one that I got worked perfectly. I tried to include pictures where you can see the bubbles inside of the kettle which lets you know that the water had boiled. I definitely would recommend this for someone that drinks tea like me on the go or travels and like coffee etc. This is definitely something handy to keep in the car for tea. Drinkers

I can’t understand the bad reviews on this. Maybe they are from an earlier version of this? I plugged this in with a full pot of water into the aux outlet in my car, and within five minutes, I had water too hot to drink. We do a lot of car travel and camping, so this is very handy for coffee, hot cocoa, cup of soup...anything you can think of that requires just hot water. I don’t always want to drag a bunch of stuff out, so this is quick, easy, and requires no cleanup. I love this thing! I will be giving these as a Christmas gifts this year to all my friends that camp.

The product feels cheaply made for the price I bought it for. To top it off, it’s made in China! I am going to try it out but so far I’m not happy with it. It also had a funky chemical smell. Hopefully it comes off after wash

This kettle heats up within 30 minutes and can my coffee and instant oatmeal. I tried a different brand that took 3 hrs to get warm. This kettle is amazing!
