So I have a Python 650 security and keyless entry unit installed on my 2000 Civic. I was able to program the remote to lock and unlock my doors. The reason I only gave it a 4 star, was because the lock button locks and unlocks my doors now. Not the end of the world but if I hit the lock button twice, which a lot of people love to hit that button multiple times to make sure it worked, you may end up unlocking your doors. What I did is also program the unlock button, which also locks and unlocks, so it at least gives me the sense that it works and I use the lock to lock and the unlock to unlock. It's not exactly ideal but its 1000 times better then not having keyless entry and it only cost me 34 bucks for the remote opposed to 500 for a whole new unit.

It was the correct part and had no issues programming to my security system. Received it fast and no complaints. I would recommend to anyone that asked me. It’s been a while and still working properly. Thank you

My car doesn't have remote start, so I tried the 7+1 several times with no pairing. I tried the 1+1 and it paired. Works.

if you have the 474v remote, the programming was just as described in the instructions found on the amazon product page. 1+1 for remote starters and 7+1 for non-remote starters on the alarm switch and pressing the remote locking button while holding the alarm switch after the alarm signal. the only concern i have is the remote doesn't have a small groove on the side body that would help open the remote for battery replacement when needed.
