I bought this based on a YT video I ran into looking for a cheap way to get a fob for my Camaro. The 2011 Camaro 2SS I bought only came with the single transponder key, no fob. I thought, what the hey, for as cheap as this thing is, I'll try it out. When I received it, I took it my local locksmith and got my current key copied over to the uncut blank on this fob. I paid $50 for the cut, probably a bit much, but MUCH cheaper than a dealership. Don't try asking Ace Hardware to do it, they make you buy a key from them, at least my local one wanted me to :( Most key machines won't cut these either, as they are special "inlay cut".Once cut, it manually unlocked the door and then I was able to sync it up to the car using the following procedure.1. Using your current working key, turn the car into the on mode, don't need to start it, just so the dash comes on. Wait for the security light (little orange car/lock icon) near the speedo to go out.2. Turn off the car, take the current key out and then immediately put the new key in and do the same as in the previous step. Turn the car on, don't need to start it, wait for the security light to go out.3. If you are successful in syncing the fob, the driver information system between the tach and speedo will say "X Keys Programmed". (X will be a number based on how many keys you personally have programmed to the car)4. Turn off the car and then try starting the car. Turn of the car and test the unlock/lock/horn/trunk and remote start functions(Keep in mind this sync process worked for a 2011 Camaro 2SS, it might be different for other year models)To my surprise, once I synced the key, it started the car and I was able to lock/unlock the doors, pop the trunk, sound the horn and even do a remote start! So awesome, I'm so happy with this. I might just buy another one for a backup fob and just not cut the key blank. Super happy with this purchase.

I purchased this remote to have as a spare for my vehicle in case my original one broke or was misplaced. When it arrived it had no instructions, just a card to a website that was supposed to have the instructions on how to program it to your car. Needless to say, when I went there the only message I received was "not found", so the website was useless. Luckily I found the instructions elsewhere. The remote worked fine for a couple of days then went dead. First I thought the battery was bad, changed the battery and all was good for about two days and dead again. I programed it again, this lasted only a few hours and it lost programing again, Luckily I had my original with me. I called the customer service number provided with the key and explained what had happened. They did nothing to try and help me, I had told them that I had the key cut already. I was told to send it back for a refund, I asked about getting reimbursed for the price of having the key cut because you have to do this in order to progam the remote. They were unwilling to so and still said I should send it back to them for a new one and I would be out $50.00, the price of having it cut. I kept it and will use it as a spare to get in my car in the event of a lockout. I would rather be out of $10.00 instead of $50.00. My advise, spend the money and get it from the dealer or an authorized dealer like I did and no more problems.

Exactly as described. Works perfectly. The quality seems very comparable to my original one. The dealership was going to charge me $50 for this key and then $55 to program it. I bought this (and another key without the fob) and had them cut by a local locksmith all for a total of $59. And it was SO easy to program. You literally just put the new key in the ignition right after the original key was in. The buttons are even easier to press than the original key fob from GMC! Super happy, definitely recommend! (in pictures the original manufacturer key is on the right, new keys to the left)

My vehicle is a 2012 Buick Verano. Bought it used and it only came with one key fob. Dealer wanted $189 for new fob. Most locksmiths I called wanted $35 to come to my home and $95 to $129 to replace, cut, and program a new key fob. Madding! I was hesitant to try the KeylesOption but so glad I did. I received same day as ordered. My Ace Hardware said they could cut the key when I call them, but after taking it to them they really could not. They recommended another place that charged me $35 to cut the key. Then I followed the very easy instructions...insert original key or already programmed key into ignition, turned on, then off...then within 15 secs put in the new cut key and turned to on...waited for my car's checking system message to disappear...then turned key all the way to start the car. All buttons worked...lock/unlock, remote start, trunk and panic. I saved a nice sum of money and all works great. Just makes me so frustrated with the dealers and locksmiths that prey on people when the process could be as simple as this. May not be this simple on all cars...but it worked perfect on mine. Thank you KeylessOption for providing an affordable alternative to the big guys.
