It was hard to tell in photos what the material might be like, but it's very lightweight and it is cotton (which is what I wanted). The pattern is super cute. I could wear this with jeans and a T and it would work as a "jacket" for that type of summer outfit, too. Love it.

I’m surprised at how pretty this is. The fabric is soft and flowy. The tie dye print is really pretty too. I get compliments every time I wear it.

This particular pattern is made from 100% cotton, as described. It is stiffer and does not move, drape, or flow well however 100% cotton will not lose its shape after hand washing and may get softer with time, but loses its vibrancy. I have other kimonos from the same company, made from viscose, which is a much softer material. Viscous flows beautifully, but when hand-washed, they can lose shape, if one does not do it the correct way. I prefer the extra effort with viscose, it just looks more flattering and expensive.

This cover-up works very well for me! It’s so pretty and the colors are very vibrant. I can use it for multiple outfits, and it works well, as a light shell over tank tops. I am 5’11” 342 pounds and busty. Highly recommend.
