I'm sure the RAM is perfectly good, but it does not work in my HP z420 Workstation with a Xeon E5-1620 3.60 GHz (Sandy Bridge). If you want to use 16 GB DIMMs on that motherboard, you have to go with Registered DIMMs (RDIMMs), not unbuffered (UDIMMs). With modules 8 GB and below, the motherboard works with UDIMMs, go figure. In all fairness, the motherboard manual says you can only use up to 8 GB DIMMs (for a system max of 64 GB). In reality though, I got my z420 up to 128 GB by using eight 16 GB ECC & registered Samsung M393B2G70DB0-YK0 DIMMs.

専用もあったのですがちょっとお値段が・・って思ってこちらを選びました。元々ついていたメモリーとの共存も可能でしたので特に問題ありません。満足しています。

These chips are advertised as generic units with the same level of performance as "branded" units but without the more extreme price tag. Based on their performance in our Dell PowerEdge servers I am inclined to agree.No issues, no errors, no hiccups, just purring along just as it should be.
