This kit is not for everyone. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy tinkering with your gear, and are comfortable with physical danger, then this kit is for you.If you long to revisit the days of dangerous toys like lawn darts and clackers, then this kit is for you.I got it, I tried it, I love it. Your mileage may vary.First, there are no instructions, only a little slip of paper that says you should email a weird address and ask for instructions. Then, when the instructions arrive, they're really no more that a well illustrated parts list.Also, the website that searching for "SQOTDR" eventually leads to, suggests that a replacement barrel band is optional. If you use this kit on a bone stock airgun, a new barrel band is not optional, and the PCP tube is too big for the barrel band that came with the gun. Just go ahead and order a barrel band at the same time as you order this kit. This may not apply if you have a short barrel and have upgraded to a metal breech. I don't know, I'm not there yet.Now, on to installing the kit. If you go to youtube and search for "crosman 2240 disassembly" and look around a bit, you'll find videos on how to disassemble and reassemble a Crosman 2240. If you're mechanically inclined, these videos plus that well illustrated parts list will be enough to figure out what needs to be done.And once you're done, yee-haw, what fun! No more CO2 cartridges to buy, increased power out the muzzle, and a desperate thirst to find and install more upgrades. Welcome to the world of air gun modding! You're probably going to want a moderator for that.
