The lights works great overall. However, in the production description says it has "Daylight Sensor" but it doesn't, it only has motion sensors

We recently moved into a mid-century quad level home so there are 4 half-flights of stairs. The bottom two especially don't get much natural light so it can get pretty dark. And we have the grand kids over frequently who use the stairs a lot, as well as we have to get up in the dark at night for the animals or to use the restroom, and especially being unfamiliar with a new home, it can be hard to see well on the stairs. So we ordered this kit hoping it might help. Wow, is this a fairly easy (just a little time consuming) way to install lighting without complicated hard wiring through difficult wall areas since everything is surface-mounted, so you don't have to hire someone to help with the install either. Not only do all the lights work great, but I love that the lighting is not too extremely bright where it's harsh and irritating - just a comfortable level that still allows plenty of visibility, and they can be adjusted to the width of your stairs. On the upper two floors of our home that are open and can be seen from both the 3rd and 4th floors, when they are activated and someone moves up or down the stairs, they really are impressive looking now like a formal grand entry. I also like the fact also that you can completely control whether you want them on or off entirely with a switch, especially since they don't need to be on if we're away on short trips for a few days (which we do frequently). Although not necessarily an elegant use, these would also be great for lighting up steps when dealing with going down into a dark basement for safety purposes, which my parents have that issue. So they are multipurpose, versatile, and really do create a rather magical effect.

Great quality for a low price:I'm a big fan of staircase lights, especially those that turn themselves on at night when someone happens to be trying to use the stairs. For a long time, I assumed I really had 2 options to provide adequate safety lighting to my staircase (my bathroom is 1 level down so I frequently use them at night) - the first option is to spend many hundreds of dollars getting lights installed into the walls or staircase, which would not only require the purchase of a lot of hardware, but also the cost of hiring a handyman to install everything. The second option was to use low cost (but low quality) motion sensor lights like those you'd put under a cabinet or in a closet, which obviously wouldn't look all that great but do function pretty well. This product is a perfect happy medium - the ~$300 price tag is nothing to sneeze at and can definitely set you back, but it's nothing compared to the thousands of dollars you might otherwise spend for a professional unit. These lights look really great when set up and have so far functioned exactly as I had anticipated. They are perfect for functionally adding peace of mind that I won't accidently step on my cat in the middle of the night on the stairs, but also just look really cool and impress visitors since they turn on with each step up the staircase.Manageable installation:The installation of this product can take a good bit of time since you have to put everything in place yourself, but it doesn't take an electrician to install and you can complete in a relatively short period of time.If you want a cool set of lights that are not only safe but look great (especially when the step by step function is activated), but don't want to break the bank, this is a great option and I would definitely recommend.
