These very common manifold control units are prone to wear issues and failure. This is a good quality replacement and is more or less easy to install. I ordered this one for a pancake compressor unit and it worked perfectly.

I bought this regulator to replace the original which was also poor quality. I could not get it to stop leaking. It will break with very little force if you try to tighten it. Mine broke while hand tightening.

When threading this onto the compressor tank male pipe nipple. which is often welded to the tank, the minimum clearance required to get this installed is a turn radius of a bit over 2-1/2 inches. It would not work in my application. However, the pressure switch itself looks to be good quality, so I'll use the parts from this to repair my old one.
