Although this kite may be awkward for a child it has great flying abilities. Will fly when most kites can not.I was pleased with the kite itself, but the receiver assembly was botched but usable.

I ordered this kite to try one final time to fly a kite. I live by the beach in Florida and flying a kite is a pretty normal thing around here, except I have failed miserably at kite flying. All kites. Cheap ones, expensive ones, you name it, I've crashed it or dragged it across the ground. So when I came across this kite, I noticed I have never tried this type of kite before. It is like those para sail things you see behind boats. Well, the same material and idea. I thought I'd give kites one more try. Add a super cute lady bug and voila! I have a cool new kite.Arrived in a way smaller than I imagined package (please don't open it pre-flight day... you create havoc for yourself)... The package said "octopus" on it but I could see red and black so I figured it was a mistake. Later, I realized it has a bunch of attachments so I think kite people probably use that term. Well, I took it to a park near the beach and after a short experience undoing the package, I was kite ready and it flew! I want to interject that it wasn't horribly hard at all to get the kite way up in the air and watch it fly. I wanted to dance!The only real challenge of this type of kite is repackaging it. Since it has no frame, the lines are easy to tangle. I decided not to try to put it back into the package and instead keep it in something a little larger. I would highly recommend this really reasonably priced kite because novices to experts can fly a kite and enjoy themselves.

I gave this to my husband as a gift, and he brought it on our recent beach vacation. It was so much fun, and looked great in flight! It has super-long tails, which makes it look pretty dramatic. We've only used it once, but it was easy to fly, and he had a lot of fun with it.

I purchased this kite for my Grandsons to fly when they came to Florida for a visit in the Spring. They were mostly interested in digging in the sand and playing in the surf. My husband, however, had a great time with it. He said that he had never had a kite that was so easy to launch and it flew up very high with no effort. Other beach goers were impressed with it as it soared above the surf. It is very big with long tails just as pictured and extremely well designed to be an easy flyer. We are going to try to launch it on a slightly windy day at a park in Ohio this spring or summer.
