I'm certainly no audio snob, but even I can sing the praises of these compared directly with the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX speakers they replaced. I was tired of hearing the old speakers breaking up when being asked to play at a loud (not unreasonable) volume. No such issue with these. They do take up more space, and having to use a remote is a plus and a minus. The plus is the simplified cabling from the sub to the main speakers is just normal audio cable. The minus is the lack of controls built into one of the speakers and a remote to keep track of now. A minor quibble for the improved audio, but something to take note of.

I've been using these speakers for almost a year now. I used to use only headphones. But because of less worry about noise complaints, I wanted to give some speakers a shot. These have been great. Currently I have them running off of a Topping A90, with signal from my computer coming through a S.MS.L SU-8 (computer settings to 32 bit, 192000hz).Went from using my T60RP Argons daily to using my speakers every day unless I have to hop on a zoom call. I often find my self turning up the music quite loud at times, but it doesn't feel too overwhelming or sounding like I'm pushing the speakers. The only drawback is the remote and auto power saving function, as I know those can be drawbacks for those who need that. I have noticed that depending on the content that is playing they have auto powered off. It can be slightly annoying, but the overall experience and quality of sound has been great. I've at this point, set its base audio levels, and only adjust the sound via computer output or overall output from the amp. So these speakers worked well for my setup.

Tiene todo, tal vez me gustaría que tuviera control de altos y medios, porque bajos si te deja

I have had a pair of Klipsch THX certified ProMedia PC speakers and sub-woofer for about the past 19 years. The sub-woofer was in need of being retired because it has spent the past 19 years sitting under my desk being inadvertently kicked by steel toed boots. It has actually stood up to its daily torture fairly well but the cabinet was beginning to come apart at the seams on the side most often kicked. I was going to just purchase a new set of the ProMedia speakers/sub-woofer to replace the old setup but that is when I saw the Klipsch had come out with the ProMedia Heritage speakers/sub. My original ProMedia setup did not include Bluetooth (because Bluetooth barely existed when I purchased them) and the new Heritage speakers also had 19 more years of horn and sub-woofer tech innovation packed into them. So even though the ProMedia Heritage speakers were around $100 more than a new set of Original ProMedia speakers, I decided to spend the extra $100 and go with the latest ProMedia offering from Klipsch. I have no regrets at spending the extra hundred. The old ProMedia sub-woofer was a beast and it packed a punch way beyond its size. The sub-woofer for the ProMedia Heritage line is still a beast and it still packs a huge punch that you would never expect would come from a sub-woofer its size but it is more refined. The bass is just a deep and can be felt in the joints of your bones just like the old sub-woofer but somehow the engineers at Klipsch managed to tighten up the bass even more than the already very tight bass of the old sub-woofer. Even at very high volume levels the low bass is tight and crisp. The speakers themselves have also benefited from slightly larger cabinets which has opened up the sound coming from each speaker. The old ProMedia speakers/sub-woofer were a great 2.1 speaker system for the desktop and PC. The new Heritage 2.1 system improves on what was great and is an outstanding system. I cannot find fault with any part of the new Heritage 2.1 system at this point. Perhaps time and my steel toed boots will uncover something (I have relocated the sub-woofer to a location where it will be harder to inadvertently kick though). I guess time will tell.

Very good sound. Nice look. Controls are on sub. Nice, sleek, but IR remote. Has to be pointed right at sub to work. One more input, radio remote and treble control would make them PERFECT! Still love them for the way they voice my MP3s and FLACs.

FIRMWARE UPDATE! - First and foremost, I like many others, was bummed out at the over-aggressive auto-off function that came standard. I had to reach for the remote to power it up when I wanted to play music, otherwise it would not auto-on for several minutes. BUT THERE IS AN UPDATE!!! The Klipsch website has the firmware update, which installs in about 3 minutes with any blank thumb drive in the USB port. They apparently updated this exact issue and the issue is essentially gone. It takes maybe a couple seconds to wake up after prolonged silence and stays on "just in case" for much longer. That was literally my only gripe and its been fixed. The rest of my review:These are replacing some Harman Kardan sound sticks/sub combo that has served me well for years. That's a great system, but a critical listener could always tell the midrange was lacking. It was essentially 8 tweeters and woofer.Moving to this Klipsch system was an amazing contrast. I left both sound systems in place and went back and forth several times for a few days, switching the input cord into my computer, sometimes mid song. The full range of sound with the Klipsch is undeniable. The subwoofer is also fantastic for its size. I can rumble my house if really crank it up, but its otherwise full, present, and crisp at normal and low listening volumes.I have a several of just about every model of Sonos in my house and a very nice "just for music" listening set up with traditional amp/speakers in one of my rooms. I consider a Sonos One to be the speaker to beat for their balance of "close-up listening" and cost/value; and frankly that was still an option for me for my computer (running two Sonos One's in stereo from my computer through Airplay). This Klipsch system can be had much cheaper, with the fq range of a true subwoofer, and it sounds just as good or better with the L/R units with clarity vs the Sonos. I would say they are same quality at normal volume, but the Klipsch blows the Sonos One pair away at increased volumes because the Klipsch mid drivers get to focus on midrange and do not distort trying to cover the bass as well. Obviously, the Klipsch sub handles the bass. Whereas with Sonos, the two Sonos Ones need to keep pushing that DSP bass, which they do admirably, but it starts getting dicey at louder volumes and the bass stops increasing along with the mid and treble as you really turn it up.As a work-from-home guy, I get excited to rock out on these sometimes when work is dragging. It's money well spent for audio that gets played probably more than any other speaker set in my house. I hope Klipsch continue to make quality computer speakers like this.
