K&N automotive replacement air filters are designed to add horsepower and acceleration to your car or truck while providing exceptional engine protection. K&N replacement air filters are simple to install and backed by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty. Not only are K&N air filters washable and reusable, they can last up to 50,000 miles between servicing, depending on driving conditions.
Designed to Increase Horsepower with up to 50% More Airflow
K&N automotive OE (original equipment) replacement air filters generally add 1 to 4 horsepower, due to the unique characteristics of our filter media. K&N air filter media was originally developed for desert motocross racing. K&N air filters were created for an environment that required maximum horsepower and acceleration while protecting the engine from the dirt and dust of off-road racing. This resulted in an air filter designed to achieve high, virtually unrestricted air flow while protecting your engine for the life of your vehicle. K&N washable and reusable air filters are made up of four to six layers of cotton gauze layered between two sheets of epoxy-coated wire mesh. The media is pleated and oiled to enhance overall filtration and performance.
Washable High-Flow Cotton Filter Media
K&N washable and reusable air filters are handmade in the USA using only the finest materials. It is almost impossible to wash your K&N air filter or air cleaner too much. K&N washed and re-oiled one K&N air filter more than 100 times, inside our testing laboratory, and it still performs up to specification. K&N air filters can go up to 50,000 miles between cleaning, depending on your driving conditions. To clean and re-oil your K&N air filter, use a K&N Air Filter Cleaning Kit and use the easy to follow instructions.
10-Year/Million Mile Limited Warranty
K&N warrants its street vehicle OE (original equipment) replacement air filters for one million miles. If used properly and found to be defective, return your filter with the receipt from purchase and K&N will replace it free of charge. Incorrect Cleaning or Use Voids Warranty.
K&N Air Filters should be cleaned every 50,000 miles for normal highway use, more often in dusty conditions. Cleaning should be done with K&N cleaner and air filter oil (or comparable air filter cleaner and oil). Use of compressed air, or chemicals not specifically designed to clean and re-oil cotton air filters (i.e. gasoline, transmission fluid, motor oil, lightweight oil, or diesel fuel) will void the warranty. Any damaged, abused or modified K&N Air Filters will not be warranted.
K&N Consumer Protection Pledge
The K&N Consumer Protection Plan goes a step further than the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty. At times, the performance aftermarket has been plagued by automotive manufacturers and auto dealers that may attempt to discourage you from modifying your vehicle. They would prefer that you buy OE parts and not customize your car or truck and have even voided their own manufacturer's warranty due to vehicle modifications. K&N and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protect consumers from such denied warranty claims. When you buy a K&N OE replacement air filter or air intake system you can be confident your vehicle's warranty will remain in effect. If you encounter a dealership that wants to void your warranty because of one of our products, K&N will resolve the issue so you won't have to. Queda perfecto donde va el original por lo que es un remplazo excelente. Mi ford Escape 2.0 ecoboost anda más suave.

Si tienes la posibilidad es preferente a un filtro convencional, este es lavable, se nota la diferencia en su uso, en mi caso lo compré para un Ford Focus 2012 SE, y no tuve problema al instalarlo, hay que lavarlo dependiendo el uso, yo lo he lavado 1 ocasión posterior a 6 meses, y no tuve problema alguno.

Excelente calidad. Mejora ligeramente la aceleracion. El sonido del motor se percibe un poco más grave. Además brinda el beneficio de no tener que reemplazar constantemente el filtro como es el caso de los desechables

Compre el filtro por ser lavable y a la larga me ahorraré dinero al no tener que cambiarlo por mucho tiempo, no espero aumento de potencia pero el sonido del motor si cambia ligeramente .Le quedó perfecto a mi Focus 2012 y lo cambie en menos de 5 minutos , ya veremos con el tiempo como se desempeña.

Here's some tips that might help you install this in a 2012, 2013 Ford Focus. You'll need a 7 mm socket and an extension for your ratchet. There's four 7 mm screws that hold down the top of the airbox cover, and you'll need the extension for two of them.Once you get the screws loose you might have to jiggle the airbox cover to get it off. With the stock air filter, try lifting it up from the back before you try and pull it out, because the back cover of the filter fits in a groove at the bottom half of the airbox.Before putting this new filter in, try slipping the top air box cover on it so you can see how the end cap of the filter slips into the groove. You've got to line it up perfectly and get it in the groove or you won't be able to line up your screws when you put it back together.When you put in this new filter stick the mouth part over the inlet pipe, reach down with your fingers and grab the bottom of the filter end cap, lift it slightly and push/slip it into the bottom groove of the airbox. Make sure the filter is properly inside that bottom groove. Then when you put the top half of the airbox cover on, slip the end cap of the filter into the groove first then set the cover down flat. All your screw holes should line up if you got that end cap properly in the grooves, top and bottom.I had trouble lining everything up at first till I figured out how to get it properly in the grooves. It fits perfectly and was easy to install. It just took me a while to figure out the groove thing. But now that you know and if you focus on getting it in the grooves it will line up perfectly for you.I haven't driven the car yet, but it starts up fine, and idling and revving the engine in my parking stall it sounds smoother. Idle is rock solid stable and it seems more responsive to throttle. I love K&N filters so I'm kinda biased, they go in all my cars. But I really can tell the difference. It's great. Take your time installing it and you'll love it.
