Funciona bastante bien, incluso mejor de lo que esperaba, no recordaba cuán bien se sentía acelerar mi motocicleta

Fitted this to a V-Star1100 as I had changed the pipes, and it seemed like the stock filter was restricting flow. It's definitely made a difference and worth the purchase price. It's a filter for life, so no more expensive Yamaha parts, and this will pay for itself eventually.

Original ReviewI installed this filter on a Yamaha Vstar 1100. The filter fit a little tighter than the OEM filter and the OEM seemed to be made out of a sturdier plastic. The bike seemed easier to start when cold. It also has a little more power. While the increase is probably less than five percent, it is noticeable nonetheless. You can really tell the difference when you get on the interstate. The most noticeable difference is the sound. The bike has a throatier, slightly louder, fuller sound with this filter. The price of the factory filter at the dealer is thirty dollars, so buying this was a no brainer. So far fuel consumption seems to be about the same.Update as of 7/2/13I may catch flack for this as there is a huge K&N fanbase, including myself, but I don't care. This is the truth. I installed the filter correctly. I did nothing wrong with the filter. I did not modify the filter in any way.As of today, I have changed my review of this item to one star. I took my filter out of my bike doing a routine inspection and I found a leaf on the engine side of the filter. As it turns out, the heat off the v-twin apparently is too much for the plastic that the K&N filter body is made out of, so it made the filter body warp. The inner circle where the filter meets the airbox turned inwards. To top it off, the foam ring that is supposed to self adhere to the filter also came unglued. Highly disappointed. I'm putting a factory filter back in it as soon as possible.UPDATE AS OF 9/3/13K&N Sent me a new filter for free, no hassles. I'm going to try this again. Maybe I just got a bad one. I have also installed a high flow pingel fuel filter since then. This seems to be a fantastic combination.UPDATE AS OF 12/13If you think you can install this without having to rejet on a carbureted bike, you are probably wrong. Throttle response with this filter is spongy. I've gone back to the factory paper filter
