It is perfect to hold and maneuver 200lbs of dog. I use it nearly every day to walk my dogs in the morning. I bought one in 23 I lost it for 4 days and had to buy another one. Found the original but am keeping both with no regrets. It's just a perfect light. Also great for hooking up tv accessories since you can still use your fingers with dexterity to plug in wires. I have also dropped it a few times with no damage.

Night running has been a part of my routine for the last several years, and I've experimented with different solutions to the need for light, including just carrying a flashlight, wearing non-running headlamps, as well as headlamps designed for running. I like the idea of having my hands free, but ultimately, I just didn't like having to deal with a sweaty headband or a headband tight enough to leave me with a headache. Wearing a headlamp also makes it impractical to glance at your companion, as you'll blind them! For those reasons, I was looking for another solution. I'd seen the original knuckle lights and was always intrigued, but when the ONE running light was released with its increased illumination, I was hooked. What I really like about this one is the new design that allows you to hold it in a manner much different from the original. The original is held in your fist, with the unit around the outside of your knuckles (hence the name), and while that makes it easy to hold, for me it results in sweaty hands, which I hate in cold weather. The new ONE light is balanced so that it fits between two fingers, allowing for air flow that keeps my hands drier. I love how light and easy it is to hold, with the on/off button conveniently right under my thumb. A thoughtful touch is the inclusion of a wrist strap which both makes it more secure and allows me to let go if I need to use my hand for something else.In other reviews, some have said that the light isn't bright enough. I disagree and have found it totally sufficient for my runs on paved surfaces. Would it work for a trail run? I think it would, but that's a personal opinion. To make sure of having enough light, however, I bought two of them, to use in the same way that the original was meant to be used. With the extra lumens in this model, I had plenty of light covering a wide swath of road ahead of me, and the total price ended up the same as a pair of Knuckle Lights Advanced. So far, I'm thrilled with my set of Knuckle Lights ONE, and I'm happy to leave my headlamps in the drawer. If you've tried everything else, get a set of these and enjoy a simple, effective way to light your path while running at night.Update: I really liked the inclusion of a wrist strap, but since using these a bit, I've found the construction of the wrist strap to be subpar. While trying to put my hand through it, it came apart and I dropped my light on the pavement. The strap is secured by a single stitch, and it broke easily. I bought some third-party wrist straps to replace mine, and they seem to be much stronger (we'll see). The good news is that the ONE light survived the fall with only a little cosmetic damage, but still works fine.

Light weight and very easy to hold. No hand fatigue even after long run.Notice water condensation after run. I perspire a lot during run. Very concern that the electronic parts will corrode and even cause a short circuit in due time.

I've been running a local XC course with various headlamps and hand-held flashlights for years now, mostly during winter months when it's dark by the time I'm home from work. The trail is well-groomed, without roots or major obstacles.I find a hand-held light more comfortable than a headlamp and the form factor of the Knuckle Lights One looked like it would solve the problem of awkward hand/wrist position. And that it does! It is lightweight and very comfortable in-hand. I am, however, disappointed in the amount of light it produces. While the dispersed circular light pattern does a great job of minimizing the light from bouncing (due to arm swing), it simply isn't bright enough to sufficiently illuminate the trail. The experience is more like "moving forward in a pleasant circular luminescent glow", but it's difficult to read the trail right in front of you, and reading the terrain ahead is maybe good for 20' or so. If I didn't know the course so well, I don't think I could trust it to navigate a trail of this sort while running. That said, walking with the light is a totally different experience and it does a great job while being super comfortable to carry. I should also add that the light does a much better job on pavement... maybe due to the road surface being more reflective than a trail covered in leaves and pinestraw? So if you run primarily on roads and paved/gravel greenways, the Knuckle Lights One may be just the ticket. One final note, the lanyard broke the 2nd time I used it, but I had another laying around from an old camera.
