If you have the ear and talent for music performance and production you’ll quickly realize that this machine is a catalyst to quickly- and I mean quickly- creating so many cool loops that can later be imported into the DAW or workstation of your choice for endless fun. The X/Y pad changes not just the pitch but the timbre of the notes in creative and highly musical ways. The scales and octave range from 1 to many are configurable and there is an OFF scale too. The OFF scale means that there are no snap-to notes for fretless operation letting you do some neat dives and swirls which are great with some programs. And with the OFF scale you can still arrive at your target note at the edge of the pad- just plug in your key as the desired target note: the key can be changed at any time and not affect the recorded loops underneath, so you can do some interesting work forming chords that way. There are absolutely zero filler patches here—all the patches are highly musical and usable.And the X/Y pad operates as multitouch for many of the four voice drum kits and highly accurate (unlike the terrible latency of the otherwise neat iKaossilator iOS app for which kits aren’t even offered - likely bc it would be a disaster). Closed hats also choke the open hats (same as on ikaossilator too but on ikaossilator it’s so hard to get taps to register on time.. no worries with this hardware!).I was disappointed at first that it’s not as geared toward a two bank live concept as its predecessor. But the unlimited undo/redo and export of all individual tracks is gold.Many of the programs have a great stereo staging to them. And the result always sounds optimized, well mixed. This thing is amazing in the hands of someone musical.I bought it for $200 Canadian which is incredible value. Also got a universal adaptor to use with it. Polarity is center positive, btw.Cons:Only 2 bar loops. Undo/redo operation causes the unit to stop playback!!! :(Positives: everything I already mentioned. It’s a great creative tool despite its drawbacks. Not for everyone, but for those who like unusual ways to come up with great ideas, it’s fun, with fantastic sound, and portable. Gets you away from the computer and cell phone screens.Not sure why the price just got jacked up from $200 to $300??

Il prodotto è sicuramente di qualità, soprattutto per quanto riguarda i suoni. Il vero plus è la possibilità di trasferire da e per Ableton Live i pattern che vengono creati. Come per altri prodotti Korg portatili che ho testato (Electribe, Microkorg) il consumo delle batterie è piuttosto elevato. Non potevano mettere una litio ricaricabile come uno smartphone? Altro grosso limite, secondo me, è l'impossibilità di accendere e spegnere tracce in tempo reale. Interessante la possibilità di campionare con il microfono o dalla linea. Lo rende una sorta di campionatore "on the road". Altro limite, secondo me non da poco, è quello della limitazione dei pattern a 2 battute. Di solito l'estensione minima di una frase ritmica, armonica o melodica sono 4 battute. Che, oggi ci sono problemi con capacità di memoria...? Quindi, limitazione ingiustificata...

ES UNA APARATO LIMITADISIMO, SIN POSIBILIDAD DE HACE COMPASES MAS GRANDES, SOLO EXISTE LA OPCION DE 8, SONIDOS IDENTICOS A LOS DE LA APLICACION EN IPHONE Y SUPER DELICADISIMO. UNA REVERENDA PORQUERIA, E INCLUSO ESTA MUCHO MEJOR EL ANTERIOR , ESTE ESTA DESTINADO AL OLVIDO.

Der KOS2 macht einfach nur SÜCHTIG! Alle gespeicherten Aufnahmen können direkt als LiveSet in Ableton übertragen werden. ... mehr ist dazu nicht zu sagen. *hoch lebe KORG!*
