Purchased this for an Exo Terra Large/Wide Terrarium(36x18x18) and it fits perfectly!The original screen cover that came with our new terrarium has a plastic frame with plastic center bracket, which not only limits the use & placement of overhead heating/lighting but also concerned me about the possibility of melting.This Exo Terra Terrarium Screen Cover is the perfect replacement!The metal frame is very sturdy.The screen is also thicker and more sturdy than the original. Also having no center crossbar/bracket allows more options in regards to overhead heating/lighting.Also purchased some Exo Terra Screen Clips to secure the screen to the terrarium. The clips are relatively cheap and can be found here on Amazon.Definitely recommend! ★★★★★

This fits my very old 40 breeder tank, which I had a hard time finding a cover for, and feared I never would. My 2 gerbils will not be able to escape with this lid. To avoid having to remove the whole lid multiple times a day, I would have loved a split/hinged lid for this, but that I cannot seem to find. Meanwhile, this will do the job and allow my gerbils a ton of room for burrowing and just being gerbils-they will be safe with this lid, and enjoy their bedding being right to the top of the tank now so they can create their tunnels. My only disappointment (I read others experienced this too) was that the screen has a small hole in it!? But even a mouse couldn't get through it, so its fine, but not what you want to see in a brand new lid! Otherwise, I am very happy I can now put my old tank to good use and provide a safe and happy habitat for my 2 young gerbil boys. I am so glad Exo Terra makes these!
