I think when I ordered these, I was thinking they would be push buttons. I’m actually glad they aren’t, as a small brush against the doorbell is responsive almost immediately. In my opinion, this has made it so much easier to get my dog to learn them. And holy buckets, the amount of tones this thing comes with is enormous. I was just after a simple tone as I don’t necessarily want to hear Under the Sea multiple times a day, but kudos to them for variety. Each doorbell comes with a 3M sticky pad, as well as a Velcro set. I didn’t use either—I attached a 3M command strip as I know for sure they don’t damage surfaces and will be easy to remove if needed. While I primarily purchased this for my dog to notify us when she wants to come inside, I decided to put both one inside and one out. My dog was not trained to ring the bells or anything else when she needed to go outside. She’s…not really trained at all, if I’m honest. My family scoffed that I could teach a 12 year old (stubborn) boxer to do something she didn’t want to do. I’m happy to report that a couple days of casual training later, she will ring the inside bell to let us know she needs to go outside most of the time. The outside bell…we’re still working on that. This set was the most reasonably priced one I saw on Amazon. I’m happy with what it does and I’m glad I didn’t spend more on it. Granted, I’m only a few days in, but so far I 10/10 recommend.

I took in a puppy from a rescue group. This puppy was not housebroken. After a few days I realized I was having a difficult time reading the puppy's cues of when she needed to go out.So I decided to try these. I put one on the inside of the door down low. I attached the second one on the outside of the door. Each time I let the dog outside I would hit the bell just before opening the door. Occasionally I would take the dog's paw and touch it.It only took 2 days and the puppy began using it on her own.I am so impressed. These doorbells were exceptionally easy to set upThey offer several different doorbell sounds. It is very easy to ring them with almost no pressure. They also have a volume control.I will recommend these to every pet owner I know.

Pros: this took very little time to transition the door, though string ringing that one dog was accomplished at to both dogs using this with the touch of their nose to go out. Works well you have lots of options for sounds from that aspect very pleased.Cons: there doesn’t appear to be away to change the batteries on the transmitter once they die if you have mounted it, which you pretty much have to do if you want it to work as intended. Also, if you buy the one with the second transmitter, I can’t figure out how to get it to talk to the receiver there doesn’t appear to be instructions for sinking, and it is working as it lights up, so not sure why you would ever buy a second one. I have posted these and will update if I get a response that solves these problems. So from the aspect of you have to completely remove it from your wall possibly damaging it to change the batteries I wouldn’t recommend buying it and second I definitely wouldn’t recommend the option of buying receiver and two transmitters as I can’t figure out how to sync them. We’re good to go till it dies and then I’m not sure what we’re doing after that.

Ok so this is our 2nd dog potty bell and so far it's our fave except for pne pretty bad flaw which we are BEYOND bummed about!!! I'm hoping we just got a dud...will update my review once I hear from/get to a resolution with the seller if they are going to replace or whatever this one that, as I said, we're desperately hoping is just an unlucky bad one/dud.My husband wanted something that we could put on the floor or attach to the wall or the slider door we let the dogs out at. The 1st bell we had was your typical push button bell but the dogs have to be pretty precise because the part they have to hit to ring the bell, it's really small for a dog nose or paw (It MIGHT be more workable for a smaller dog but I don't think so) and that just wasn't working for us already and had we tried to put it on the floor or attached it to the wall or door (he'd have had to get super creative to do either because leaving it on the floor, we have 3 large and high energy dogs...and 2 of them are still puppies (so massive crazy excitable and a bit rambunctious lol) at just turned 9 months old that bell wouldn't have stood a chance on the floor and if my husband had attached to the wall, it likely wouldn't ring because those type of bells NEED to be flat to ring correctly) so the dogs could have access as needed, which is kinda the idea lol, we want them to be able to ring the bell on their own when they gotta go of course lol....so I started doing a lot of digging, Amazon, pet stores, and regular stores and couldn't find what I was looking for and then I stumbled on this by changing my search criteria/wording a little bit.The concept is AWESOME and the pieces the dogs have to push can be placed on the floor as well as the packaging also includes sticky pads (thank you!!!) to stick them to a wall or door or wherever. Another bonus... You can order with extra bells/transmitters if I'm remembering right (we got a set of 2 bells 1 transmitter) instead of just one of each. They can also be used outside!! Yay!!! The bell even, according to the company's description, will even stand up to our winter weather temperatures and precipitation as well as stay sticking even in the heat. My husband wanted one where they could ring the bell both when they want out and when they want in and here we have it.The button for the dogs to push to activate the bell is also EXACTLY what we were hoping for!!! It's super large (almost the whole surface of the "bell" is the push button) and takes VERY LITTLE pressure from the dogs. They can tap with their noses or paws and can't miss hitting the part that rings the bell.... unless they just miss the whole thing LOL. It is ALMOST completely PERFECT!!!! Exactly what we were hoping to find!!! Super easy to teach even our stubborn 4 yr old husky (she's not big on change LOL so she was a tiny bit resistant lol but now she does it great!) to use and even easier to teach the 2 german shepard husky mix puppies to use.Now for the 100% absolutely NOT good part. It is one thing but it's kind of a big thing unfortunately!!! So I would say this bell is about 50% perfect!! Now I've completely raved about this bell and pointed out pretty much nothing but positives so y'all are probably wondering why I'm only giving it 50% perfect and why I rated it only 2 stars! See the thing is, even after replacing the batteries with brand spanking new ones, this bell that's so perfect in SO many ways doesn't always ring!! Our first thought was ok maybe whichever dog was trying to push didn't hit hard enough....we quickly ditched that idea because they're very large and super strong dogs and when they gotta "go" they get crazy excited and seem 20 times stronger lol and 99% of the "button" is the actual push part of the bell and it seriously takes THAT LIGHT of a touch... I mean I think a mouse or hamster or something could activate it honestly lol...again we wanted something easy for the dogs to push so perfect for us...we also ditched that idea because we also tried multiple times to push the bell ourselves only to have it not ring. Of course we made sure every time that the transmitter was plugged in tightly and it always was. The 2nd thought we had...ok maybe the batteries are just old. Well we got brand new batteries and we're still sitting here with a bell that isn't working properly an unfortunately decent percentage of the time 😭😭 Now when a young pup (or an older dog with like incontinence issues or something) that's been trained to ring the bell for potty and they "ring" the bell correctly but don't hear us almost immediately say "ok we're coming" or "ok you gotta go out", isn't going to understand that the bell is only ringing maybe 3 out of 10 attempts!! Nope they are wondering why they're doing what they're trained to do and getting no response. Now again I'm HOPING like soooooo much that the company makes this right and that we just got a bad one or something so we shall see and as I mentioned I will update my review based on the customer service I get from the seller! All in all if the seller makes this right and replaces this system and if the new one works as it should, I'd say definitely order it. If they don't or if we get yet another where it's just not consistently working correctly then I'd say save your moolah and find something else because a dog that maybe isn't super vocal (we have a husky and 2 german shepard husky mixes, they absolutely can and do use their rather loud and fairly obnoxious "voices" lol) and won't "tell" their owner that the they need to go, well if the owner doesn't know they need to because the bell they've been trained to use isn't working, that could get messy and expensive depending on what they may choose (carpet, hardwood, furniture...yikes lol!!! That wouldn't be good but also wouldn't consider that to be necessarily the fault of the dogs) to eliminate on. Fingers crossed that this one's just a dud and the company replaces this with an operable system that works as it should. If both of those things happen I'll absolutely amend my review!
