So the other day a big storm came through and caught me while commuting back to my house, a good friend of mine called me to warm me about the storm and I couldnt be more lucky because after that call I put this on my backpack which had my work laptop, the sky started pouring!By the time I made it home my pants and shoes were soaked but my torso and laptop managed to survive due to my rain jacket and this cover! Only a little bit of the water passed by into the inner part of the backpack but did not managed to get to the laptop. This right here is whats costing it one star on my side, whenever youre using it, if your straps get too high it will cause the cover to fall behind and not cover that precious space, making it phrone to receive some water in that gap, over a sustained time it may cause a great leak. Maybe this is a field for upgrading it on next versions possibly?Id still think its a good bang for the buck!

As long as backpack was right fit for the cover, then the cover worked well, kept stuff dry, easy to put on and take off the backpack

It works perfectly as intended, fits my daughter’s high sierra backpack perfectly.Fabric is of good quality.Would totally recommend.

I bought the size Medium to cover my daughter's JanSport Right Pack (slightly bigger than the standard JanSport) & this size fits perfectly well, but if you have a larger pack than the Right Pack I would recommend sizing up. We live in a very rainy, windy area and she walks several miles a day with her pack and these have really helped to keep her backpack contents dry. It also helps keep the bottom of her pack dry if she sets it down on the bench at the bus stop (the real leather bottom of the Right Pack is not lined with waterproofing fabric like the rest of the backpack- we learned that one the hard way!)

We haven’t really had to subject these to the elements so much as getting through airports. I use these to keep the grossness off my backpack when I have to put it through conveyor belts and on the floor of the plane (because those foot wells are never clean).
