This worked well connecting pvc to metal pipe using a brass nut. No leaks, first try.

I was looking for a rubber, tapered slip joint washer. This is a square one. Nowhere in the description does it state that it's square. And there's just one photo from an angle. It there was a photo from the side, it would be obvious that it's square. This is why I hate buying stuff online. The square slip joint washers are intended for a completely different application. Why can't the manufacturer state that it's "SQUARE"? Just add one extra word--and a photo from the side.

Where I live the only way to get this item is to buy a $10.00 kit. This will save us a lot of money so it is worth the poor quality of a few of the slip joint washers.

Purchased the rubber pack - these are just round rubber gaskets, there is no tapered edge or flange on the washer, so it acts like an O-ring, not a slip joint washer.It will likely still hold for what I'm using it on, but I was looking for the compression fitting of a slip joint washer. It looks like the Vinyl / Plastic options come with the tapered edge.
