This is a bright white with black design, well sewn, sturdy and pretty patterned quilt on both sides. It is lightweight/slim in the thickness department. For anyone who has a dark haired dog that sheds year round & cannot do an all white base, the black floral design creates camouflage. With the more black side, ignorance is bliss because we don't see dog hair at all. Additionally, the king size is a true king size- this quilt is larger than my expensive PB quilts so it covers all the edges well. Good purchase.

I bought this quilt to have a little change of look in my bedroom. I have grey carpeting and gray curtains so I wanted something that would take in either gray or black in color. It was difficult to find the perfect spread. I wanted a pattern instead of a solid color and had been searching online for nearly a year for something that appealed to me. After reading several reviews about the spread I was a little afraid that it would be too lightweight, but I added a blanket onto my bed and the quilt is perfect. Kept me nice and warm all through the winter. The pattern is black on white, so I bought a fitted black bedskirt at the same time. I have washed it once in my home washer and it came out beautifully. I don’t think that it shrunk at all.I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Update: Aug 2017I have now had this quilt for about 2 years. Here's the gist:Cons: After LOTS of washing (including bleaching and hot water at times - I have four young boys and 2 dogs) the quilt has definitely shrunk. Not that this is a product problem necessarily but if you are like me, you want a washable quilt that won't shrink. Now when I say it shrunk I mean it SHRUNK! It barely covers the sides of my mattress (which is a slim mattress with no box spring) and that's annoying. I have a King size bed so I cannot order up a size:(Plus if you read my original review it was almost too big when I first bought it.- Also, it is only a summer time quilt. I had to buy another blanket to go under it for the rest of the year.Pro: Structurally it has held up wonderfully to all of the washing and bleaching and 2 years worth of wear and tear. Stains come out, no threads coming undone or anything! The quilt gets softer and more comfortable the longer I have it.Original Review:Received my quilt today...as others have written it seems to be very good quality and I'm super pleased with it! The only downside I can think of is the quilt is a thin quilt. Dont get me wrong, it is heavy and feels like good quality but if you are used to a big fluffy comforter you may not like this quilt. I am going to get flannel sheets and I think that will get us through the winter. I think it will be perfect for the summer. I dont think the picture shows the other side of the quilt very well but it is black with a white lattice type design. The binding (or border) on the top side of the quilt is the same print as the back . It gives it a bit of "pop" because the geometric design contrasts the front. I actually like it but I didnt realize it was like that when I ordered it. Also I have a king size platform bed (no box spring) and a memory foam mattress from costco (so it's not very thick or fluffy) and this quilt is PLENTY big! Its almost a bit too big but if you have a box spring and/or pillow top mattress it should fit great! I guess my "king" size pillows aren't king enough because these shams swallow them. But I really do love the quality/look of the quilt....definitely worth the price IMO.
