LG 4948EL4002B Gas Dryer LP Conversion Kit- Not as advertised- does not appear to be OEM part. No OEM part number anywhere on item packaging. Listing is for kit that shows instructions included for installation, and labeling to indicate that dryer has been converted. I paid more for the item than other listings expecting the kit. The instructions are critical for correct installation which includes adjustment of the pressure regulator. This is a safety item.

I bought this LP conversion kit because i needed to. the instructions state like 9 steps for accessing the orifice to change it.You actually need to (almost entirely) disassemble the whole dryer. This is NOT an exaggeration. The orifice is in a location where you need to loosen machine screws to free it. You cannot reach those machine screws until you remove the drum. you need to basically take the entire front panel, and inside front supports off to free the drum to get to the orifice. The job itself is not hard, but budget a good 2-2.5 hours for the project. it is time consuming. but right now it works perfectly.

Product is exactly as described. Installation is straightforward.TIP: Make sure that you remove the top of the burner assembly, at least that was necessary with our model of dryer. This isn't hard, it's just 2 screws! I thought I could get away with skipping that step. Removing the natural gas piece was easy without removing the burner assembly top, but the LNP part would not screw in. After a while of trying without success, I removed the top of the burner (just 2 screws - see photo) and presto, the new part screwed in effortlessly. The arrow in the photo shows where the part is inserted. If you don't know what you're doing, I suggest hiring a pro. Maybe buy the part here, but we're talking about flammable gas here!! Be careful.
