I set this up for use with virtual desktop on my quest 3. Gave the Q3 its own SSID for the 6g channel and went from a dropout every 20 minutes to NONE. I had no issues setting it up, it has great range and throughput and was the best set of features for the lowest cost. I HIGHLY recommend this router, especially if you are having issues with your vr to computer link. Has everything I need at 1/3 the cost of equivalent routers.

I was having internet issues and found out, after several technicians from my internet provider, finally determined PART of the issue was my new router had stopped working properly. This model is probably overkill for my small apartment. I do have to say the setup is easy. You can use a local (192.168.1.1) access method or download the phone application software. I love the built-in speed check feature.UPDATE: 03/15/2025 i purchased a Kingston DataTraveler Max 1TB thumb drive to use as "external Storage" with this router. I found that not all files copied to the external storage feature on the 1TB thumb drive were accurately copied. There were many errors rendering the file on the thumb drive unreadable or unmanageable. SO, I swapped a 16GB thumb drive for the 1TB and all files seem to be true to their data, AND when copying files with the 1TB directly connected to my laptop or desktop, there are no errors in the files' data. Is there some issue with the SIZE of the External Storage drive? I don't know. FYI: just in case you stumble on the same issue.

This listing is very deceptive, the router I received is a not a MR7500; but instead, it is a MR75WH. The MR75WH is a low cost version of the MR7500, and it simply lacks a USB 3.0/1 port (maybe other features as well)

Very pleased with the router. This is the third router I had to try. My cable company routers I tried would not connect to some of my devices, and they did not have the ability to have guest logins. This unit has tri band ability. My new samsung phone connects at 6 Ghz. I didn't even know it could. My computers all connect with 5 Ghz. My Alexa devices, irrigation, thermostats and the kids ipads, all connect to the guest login. Some are 5 and some are 2.4 gigaherts. The control of this device is accomplished using a app that you download from the store. I don't think you can connect to this device using 192.1681.1. If you go there, it redirects you to the app store.

I bought this unit as renewed for a good price of $100 plus tax. Delivery was quick. While the box was marked renewed, it was marked as renewed by Linksys and carried a 90 day warranty. I was able to register the device at the Linksys website. In appearance, the unit seemed "as new". I don't have any 6E devices to test the 6 Ghz band. My Wi-fi 6 device works fine with the Hydra Pro as do the rest of my older devices. 5Ghz range is equal to or better than my retired ASUS RT AC86U.The only significant downside, as compared to my prior router, is the user interface(s). There is a web based app that works with very little in the way of configuration options. Such as inability to name the 2.4, 5.0 and 6.0 Ghz channels differently. Signing into the router directly allows that and some other options but doesn't allow all the configuration options that my ASUS router has such as adjusting what channels are used, power output, VPN configuration and QOS options. My house doesn't require mesh Wi-Fi for full coverage so I can't speak to any of those features. My thought is that the 6 Ghz channel (with another similar Linksys router) would be excellent for backhaul without compromising other devices' bandwidth.I consider this an excellent purchase;Pros:1) Price2) Quick delivery3) Good Wi-Fi performance4) 6E capability5) Easy to setup in default configurationCons:1) User interface could be more granular2) Limited (90 day) warranty
