I paired this rod with a vintage penn 420ss. This rod is a replacement for a rod I broke. The broken rod was purchased from a sporting good store and is identical to this rod. The only difference is this purchase is a 2 piece rod and the sporting goods store was $115.00. I liked this one so much I purchased another. So I have a 2-6lb model and the 4-8lb model on the way. I'm going to put a 716z on the new one.
