My family loves the Lockly Secure Plus Keyless Entry Door Lock. This is our 2nd Lockly Secure Plus. It's very convenient and secure. We don't physical keys since unlocking the door lock only needs finger on the Biometric scanner or just entering your assigned PIN on the Genie Keypad. The additional good feature is the RFID Card reader on this new model which makes it very convenient unlocking the door.

Instruction was clear, however, when i reach to the point where pressing program key, it did not display Ch1,2,3 to configure. Meaing, no manual setup pw. So i tried to register through app, system error popped up, and i was pretty sure it was on their side. Just tried "forgot pw" for trsting, still ststem error. Called support multiple times at different time and it says 7 min wait time every single time. Assume they dont work 24/7 as advertised. They called me next day and told that as if it was my issue and cant be corrected.

Truth be told I have other LOCKLY locks and I really enjoy them. The differences, though, they are on a bedroom door or interior door that I felt comfortable, drilling the wood on a solid core door. Lockly has two different options for installing their locks: using adhesive tape, yes that’s right adhesive tape to stick the lock assembly onto both sides of the door,OR drilling a hole directly through the door so that you can install a screw that pulls both of the interior/exterior hardware tight against the door.I used that application on my bedroom door where I felt felt more comfortable, drilling a hole directly through a new door, but that is not something I was going to do with a steel exterior door to my home with a venetian blind- built in.Most smart locks these days offer different types of mounting hardware to secure the lock through unfortunately, this lock needs to be thought in terms of its design process . I will purchase the technology within the customer service, but sometimes it’s hit or miss. That’s all it comes down to.

Lockly is a very solid brand in the smartlock space. This is our second Lockly deadbolt. We got the first one 3 years ago at Home Depot. It's been rock solid... extremely reliable, rugged and secure, easy to install, and easy to use.So I decided to get another one for our other exterior door. This new unit is nearly identical in most ways that I can see. But it also comes with 3 RFID cards which offer an additional method of unlocking the door. The other 4 are: fingerprint sensor, 8-digit code, smartphone app, and physical key. The fingerprint sensor on this newer unit seems to be much more advanced as well.Installation is very easy. It probably took longer to go through all the settings in the app than it did to physically install the lock in the door. The instructions are very detailed and helpful. But it's actually a lot easier than the instructions make it seem. They also have a technical support phone number if you run into any snags, which is doubtful. This model does not have WiFi capability unless you buy a separate hub. This means no locking/unlocking over the internet, no Alexa integration, and no geofencing. You can still lock/unlock and do other things with your smartphone, but you have to be within bluetooth range. You lock it by just tapping the screen when you walk out. We also have it set to auto-lock after 5 minutes. So even if we forget to tap the screen, which has happened, it locks itself. That's another reason I didn't bother with the Wifi hub.The app is OK, not super-intuitive. But everything is there, like setting up one-time access codes. I set-up fingerprint profiles for our two adult kids. The fingerprint sensor is very reliable but for some reason my wife has difficulty with it at times. So it's nice to have the RFID cards, which may be easier for her than punching in the code.Battery life is pretty incredible. We bought the first one in 2019 and I've only changed the batteries one time. I just checked and they are still at 40%. I suppose the WiFi versions of this lock probably consume a lot more power. The inside unit gives you plenty of advance warning when the batteries are getting low.Overall, I'm extremely impressed with these Lockly smart locks. They are built very tough, rugged, and secure. Easy to install. Ultra-reliable. Lots of ways to unlock. Great battery life. The price-point is very fair for such a well-designed, high-quality product.

I've owned and installed a number of electronic door locks and I'm impressed by this model from Lockly. Among the brands I've owned and installed at home, our vacation cottage and my children's homes are Level, Schlage, KwikSet, August, Amazon Basic and one or two other lesser-known lock brands. Stacking this Lockly up against the rest I'm impressed in a number of ways and critical in one or two areas. Before getting into pros and cons, a few words about operation of this lock. Lockly sells two versions of this lock, the Secure Plus and the Secure Pro. The Secure Plus (this model) is less expensive and less capable than the Pro version for only one reason: the Pro includes a wifi hub that allows remote operation of the lock. You can add the Pro hub to this Plus model for $72. The hub is available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T959BS7/.You may wonder if something must be added to the lock to work with the hub. Nope, all you need is the hub. The reason you don't need to add a wifi card to the lock is that both the Plus and Pro model locks operate only by Bluetooth radio, not internal wifi. The hub is simply a wifi-connected Bluetooth radio that you plug into a wall outlet near your lock and connect to your wifi network to make your Bluethooth lock capable of being operated remotely via the internet. Lockly's wifi hub simply controls your lock just as your phone would over Bluetooth. This is a new version of the Lockly Secure Plus. Added is the ability to control the lock via RFID cards, three of which are included with the lockset. You can control this lock by the following means:1) Bluetooth over phone app2) Wifi and internet remotely (using the optional hub that is included with the Pro model)3) Fingerprint (up to 99 fingerprints can be saved)4) RFID cards5) Eight number PIN codes6) Physical keysThis plethora of operating methods is probably overkill, honestly. We have a cottage we rent via AirBnB and the one really essential method is remote control, which we would have to purchase the wifi hub to use.Now a few pros and cons:Pros* Heavy duty exterior with lots of locking/unlocking options* Good battery life because of not using wifi* Great instruction, easy to follow* A changing number pad that will make it difficult for someone looking at your finger position to determine your code from finger positionCons* Heavy. So heavy that you need additional support for the lock via another drilled hole through the door at the top of the lockset with a screw to support the lock or included adhesive pad* Interior is all plastic. However, this isn't tacky looking or feeling. It looks and feels like metal.* Need to purchase wifi hub to get remote control over internet with the Plus model.Overall, this is one of the most capable electronic locks I've seen. Very impressive abilities and construction. I only wish, for the price, that wifi was built in.
