The sticks are lightweight but they tend to collapse in the middle of a walk, even though I have tightened the screws. The screws will loosen over time. I bought this mainly for "anti-shock" feature but I don't feel it. I think it's just a marketing gimmick. These sticks should be much cheaper consider the price.

They are ultra light. I am 5'7", and the shorter length poles are plenty long. They also are small enough to carry in a bag. I lost a very old telescoping REI hiking pole. I was shocked how light this one is. I'm very pleased.

I have used hiking poles for the last 20 years. I have hiked, backpacked and climbed in many places in the Western United States. I have hiked up Mt. Kilimanjaro and hiked to the Everest Base Camp. I have climbed a number of mountains. I have always used hiking poles. They really help prevent me from tripping and falling. I saw these and asked Amazon to review them.I really like these hiking poles, especially considering how lightweight they are. The top 2 parts of the poles are made out a strong carbon fiber material. The bottom section is a lightweight metal. The connectors and adjustment tabs are made out of plastic. My Leki and Kamperdell hiking poles’ connectors are also made out of plastic, and I have never had any problem with them. The poles have adjustable straps to secure around your wrists. The poles will adjust from 23 to 47 inches, which is about an inch shorter than my Leki and Kamperdell. The poles have an anti-shock function that works well. On my scales the 2 poles weigh 11.5 ounces compared to my Lekis, which weighs 18 ounces and my Kamperdells that weighs 17 ounces. If I have one complaint about these poles it would be that the handles are a little bit big for me. My other two poles handles have a circumference of 3.5 inches. These have a circumference of 3.75 inches. If you have really large hands these would be great. My hands are somewhere between medium and large. They fit was okay, but it took some getting used to them.I just want to make a brief comment on weight. If you are going to just walk around your neighborhood or go on short hikes, weight doesn’t mean a lot. However, if you are backpacking or climbing longer distances and you have to put your poles in or on your pack, 7 or 8 ounces is weight I wouldn’t want.I never use the accessories for my poles, other than occasionally the ones I use in the snow. If I walked on asphalt or concrete, I might use the rubber ones. What I liked and disliked:Liked:1. The weight.2. The adjustments.3. How easy they are to take apart. (Just be careful putting them back together. If you push too hard and the plastic parts of the head are out of position, you could break it).4. The anti-shock function.5. The adjustable hand straps.6. The build. They are solid.7. No problems putting them in suitcase, backpack, or daypack.8. The price is reasonable given what you are getting.Disliked:1. The handles. They are a little big for me, but I will adjust to them.
