I got this light for my e-scooter because it claimed to be 8000 lumens, which would be 10 times as bright as the 800-lumen light that I had been using. I fully charged the light and went outside in the dark to do a side-by-side comparison with my 800-lumen bike light. It is not 10X brighter. I’d say it’s about 30% brighter. That’s nice and that makes it my new nightly driver. But I dislike the false claim.It’s difficult to capture the brightness in photos at night because the camera tends to compensate the shutter speed but I’ve attached 2 photos of the Siuyiu light at full brightness and another brand of light that is listed as 800-lumens. The Siuyiu light has a bit wider beam with concentric circles of lght.The power button cycles the lighting modes with each tap from full-brightness, to medium brightness to low brightness to flashing to off. When turned on, long pressing the power button turns it off. When turned back on, it starts out at the full-brightness mode, not the last-used mode.My scooter’s handlebar is 22mm (7/8”) in diameter. The mount does not accommodate such a small diameter, so I had to add 2 rubber shims (cut from some rubber sheets that I own) in order to make it fit securely. That’s not good. I have several handlebar mounts for my bikes and scooters but this is the first handlebar-mount that I’ve had that didn’t accommodate a 22mm handlebar. Many companies provide several rubber shims to accommodate different handlebar diameters. The listing doesn’t mention the handlebar diameter range. The mount has teeth such that the head can be rotated before locking it down (for example if your handlebars angled backward but you want the light to shine directly forward). The nut that you twist with your fingers to tighten the mount is plastic, so I don’t trust it to last forever and I worried about stripping it. I’ll probably replace it with a stainless steel nut.The light weighs in at 8.99oz (256 g) without the mount. The size (not including the clip) is 4 -7/8” x 2-1/8” x 1-1/8” (123mm x 54mm x 29mm).The light has a USB-A port that can be used as a power bank to charge other devices. Contrary to what another reviewer said, I had no problem charging (not fast-charging) my Samsung Galaxy S22 phone for about 30 minutes through this Siuyiu bike light. The USB-A & USB-C ports are covered with a tethered silicon cover. The light can be charged without removing the light from the mount.This Siuyiu bike light is a bit brighter than my other lights and it works well so it has become my new nightly-driver, but I wouldn’t have got it if the add said that it’s 1300 lumens so I’m deducting a star for that and a star for not stating the handlebar diameter nor including cheap rubber shims for the mount so that can fit widely-used 22mm-diameter handlebars. 3-stars.
