This little motion light looks like a real security camera. It is very bright for its size and looks great in my space. The solar function is so perfect so we never need to take it down to charge it.

This definitely looks like a real camera. The light is motion activated and is pretty bright. I like that it's solar powered so you don't have to worry about batteries or charging it. There's a red light that comes on that gives the impression that it is filming which is great to deter people from messing with your stuff. I like that it came with the mount to attach it. We attached it to our house and then moved it to our fence easily. Overall a great light that doubles as a fake camera.

The look is intimidating and I hope that I'll see less porch piracy in the future. That's its main selling point and why I'll leave it up. But it just hasn't worked right for me.I installed it in a jiffy, screwing it into the door frame. When I first turned it on I was blown away by how bright it was. I wanted it for a dual function- deterring thieves and providing a motion sensing light for those approaching the door at night. I put it up and found that the motion sensor worked well. It provided great light from a good distance.I was hesitant to put it in the sheltered alcove area above the door because I wondered if it would get enough light. It gets hours of sunlight. Plants grow fine there. But it's not direct sun.On subsequent nights, it hasn't worked. The red light light to make it look like it was in operation didn't come on. The white light wouldn't come on. So I took the light down and left it in full sunlight for a day. When I put it back in place, the red and white lights came on, the motion sensor worked. I was willing to put the blame on placement.I then went out for a few hours and came back. I parked in the driveway which is not visible from where it was placed. I sat still. I watched as the light cycled over and over again. The light would come on, shine for the appropriate 20 seconds or whatever, then go off. Then it would come back on again. Over and over. No wonder it ran out of power. It wasn't the placement. When it was fully charged, it wore itself out quickly turning on over and over again when there was no wind there, no movement, no reason for this waste. As a useful light, I can't give it any credit. As a theft deterrent, I'm hoping it lives up to the stars I did give it. I'll leave it up, but I hope that I got a defective unit and that they aren't all like this.I was really looking forward to this ruse.Oh, and for anyone who knows where I live, this camera is fake but my impressive array of hidden cameras are real and are ready to release the robot attack dog if you try to walk off with my Amazon packages.

I didnt want a fake looking security camera motion light as this was advertised but a motion detector light near the batting net my son uses and this works perfectly for that.It is a very simple to install and use product. Just screw the back plate into the surface you want to hang the light then slide the light into the back plate. The anchor and plate screws are included. After i installed the light i went back out to test the motion detector in the dark. I was upset because it didnt work. The next day i slid the light off the back plate and was ready to toss it when i noticed a small power button. I pushed it and then light came on. I put it back and waited for dark again to test the motion and it WORKED!The light stayed on for about 20-30 seconds and then went off. I walked back into motion area and it turned back on. It lit up the beter than i thought it would and am very happy with this.DONT FORGET TO PUSH THE POWER ON/OFF BUTTON.You will be happy with this light if to be used as a light instead of a camera decoy.
