I already have lights on the back of my bike, “Smart Bike Taillight Turn Signal Front and Rear Lights IPX6 Waterproof Warning Light, Remote Control, USB Rechargeable Safety Flashing Light for Cycling Road Bicycle” so I mounted this light onto the bike seat just above the Taillight Turn Signals.I like the option where the red light travels around the square.I’m not sure if the sensor is working where I’ve installed it. I don’t seem to see any change (I don’t see it get brighter) when a car passes me. Of course, I’m facing to the front when I’m pedaling and maybe I just don’t see it. I’ve tried turning it on and walking toward the bike and I don’t see any difference in the light. It has a nice mount. You can easily twist it off and when you twist it on it feels very secure (I’m not worried it’s going to fall off.).

The light itself is bright and so far I don't have any complaints with it. The seatpost mount is a different story. The rubber strap is very small and doesn't fit around my seatpost. Even if it did, it's not adjustable and may or may not be pointed in a good direction based on your bike's geometry. The mount is a quarter-turn mount in the style of Garmin, but not compatible with Garmin mounts, so you don't have options if the included mount doesn't work for you. I'm going to rig up a solution with an old mount and some super glue, but obviously that's not ideal. The saddle rail mount is way more adjustable, but that's not going to work for you if you ride with a saddle bag or a rear rack. For me, the saddle rail mount isn't a viable option.

I've tried a lot of rear bike lights, and this is definitely one of the best. It's the only one that I've tried that has a radar feature that triggers a bright light when a vehicle is detected approaching from the rear. There are seven light modes with varying brightness levels and different blink patterns. I am a fan of blinking lights, rather than solid, as they seem to be more easily seen. The light brightness is variable with the brightest setting providing excellent visibility. Coupled with one of the blinking modes, further improves visibility. The light comes with two mounts - one for the seat post and one for the seat bow (under the seat). The light itself attaches to the mount by placing on the mount and making 1/4 turn. I like having the ability to use either mount and the ease of attaching and removing the light. The radar is enabled using a dedicated switch separate from the power/light mode switch. The radar works remarkably well and reliably. Objects moving away do not trigger the radar - only those approaching from behind. The radar should trigger when approached by a walker, another bike or a car. I haven't meticulously verified the sensitivity with all of these, but with less than detailed testing, it works well.In addition to the light itself and two mounts, also included is a usb-c cable. The battery duration is extremely dependent on the light brightness and blinking mode, and (according to the spec) will last for between 4 and 36 hours. The waterproof rating is IPX64, which should cover pretty much any rain that you'll likely to be riding a bike in. Another nicety is the battery meter. Nice to know when it's getting time for a recharge. One curious thing, although a minor one, are several references to audio alerts in the product listing. This light has no audio alerts and I believe that is the result of cutting and pasting from another similar product sold by this manufacturer without the copy being proofread. So, lots of positives with this light and scant few negatives. While not cheap, the price is very reasonable considering the feature set, so it's a good value too.

The EQIIO Smart Radar Tail Light is by far the brightest red bicycle tail light I’ve come across; it’s difficult to look directly at it no matter what mode it’s in. I found a couple of other features I like about it as well. The Radar Light is supplied with two mounting options, the more common one of a silicone band wrapped around the set post, and the other, a mounting bracket that allows the light to be held by the under seat supports. Both mechanisms appear robust and the Tail Light is connected to each with a keyed bracket that it twists into, in either the horizontal or vertical orientation. Personally, I prefer the under-seat method, however both can be mounted to the bike and the light switched between the two if so desired. The under-seat mounting bracket is cleverly designed so that it can be assembled and then mounted to the bike seat, making installation a breeze. In other words, the user isn’t trying to juggle small pieces while trying to thread screws.Another feature I appreciate are the lit operations buttons; they are easy to see even in the daytime. The included sheet of instructions, at least for me, left some answered question, for example can normal and radar mode be used at the same time; the answer is they can, however the informational blanks in the included instructions are filled in on by both printed material and a short video, found on the Amazon PoP page. If you find yourself confused, check there. Different lighting sequences in both normal and radar mode are selected by contiguous pushes of their respective buttons. You can turn on Radar mode only, in which case the tail light will only light up on the approach of a vehicle. I suppose Radar mode only saves battery power, but I enable both modes so that while I’m riding, the tail light remains lit. With both modes on, when the radar detects an approaching vehicle, the tail light becomes much brighter, and depending on how the user has it set, it can start flashing. It’s sensitive too. I tested it by placing it at the end of our 30ft hallway and running towards it; it detected me as soon as I started to move. This was also in a backlit situation, with large brightly lit glass doors behind me. Tested in the opposite direction, so that I was running towards the brightly lit glass doors, so the bright light was now behind the Smart Tail Light, its radar detected me as soon as I started to move and was glaringly bright; any driver paying attention to the road isn’t going to miss it. If they do, they shouldn’t have been issued a drivers license. Also of interest: the radar does not detect me when I am moving away from it, or if I stop while moving towards it, the light goes out. The radar only illuminates the tail light when objects are approaching it, not receding, and moving, not still; that must be the smart part of Smart Radar Light.I imagine that the two advantages of the Smart Radar Tail Light over a less expensive non-radar light is that it is much brighter when activated by the radar, and perhaps the sudden change in intensity will catch an approaching driver’s eye. It’s up to the reader to decide if these are worthwhile advantages. In terms of the sellers’ assertions regarding the product, and its actual performance, it performs as stated.
