We recently bought this for our milk cow. We haven’t even be a let to turn this sucker on before the lid clip broke off… I’m not to impressed.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. The pump is basically the same as all the rest, just a different casing, but works fine. The clips do not stay shut to stop the flow. Easy fix with a $15 modification. The bucket is supposed to be higher grade of stainless steel, which it is, however the plate and spot welds that hold the handles on are not. You can see the discoloration that will be rust after a few days.My biggest problem with this milker is the lid design and the seal. The top of the bucket is about 1/8 inch thick, but the seal and groove on the lid is about a 1/2 inch wide. You have to fight to get the seal to lay down to put the lid on. Once you finally (10 or 15xs off smoothing it into place) get it into place and put the lid on, the seal slips sideways and hangs over the edge of the bucket. If you do happen to get it in place and the lid secure, the minute you turn it on, the pressure pulls the seal into the bucket. Sometimes, you manage to get it on and begin milking a minute or two, and then the seal slides sideways and the cups fall off.I fought with this milker for almost 2 weeksuntil was ready to kick it across the field. This was my 3rd milker, others were fine. This one is nothing but trouble and frustration.

I was unsure about buying this milking machine after reading the reviews, but it’s worked great for me for a year and a half now, and is still going strong. I’m about to order a second one now that my calf is old enough to breed, and will be in milk in a few months.On two occasions, it didn’t pull a vacuum, so I took the lid off and turned it a quarter turn. Worked fine after that. I store it with the lid off, and only clamp it on to go to the barn to milk, as I don’t want to keep the gasket in compression when I don’t have to. It came with a second gasket, but I’m still using the first one.My husband tried using it and said it didn’t work and was a piece of junk…. then he realized he didn’t clamp the hoses and turn the machine on a while before trying to use it. You have to let it build up suction first or it won’t work. So, user error. 🤣I didn’t want to get a milking machine, but my husband insisted. Now I’m glad I have it. I hand milk the front quarters while machine milking the back quarters, and get done in half the time!Pic is of my granddaughter milking my Jersey cow.

My jersey heifer calved a week and a half ago. Have been hand milking for a week. Received my milker in the mail yesterday and used it for the first time. It worked great! It milked a gallon of milk off her in less than 5 minutes. (she is feeding her calf and a bum calf plus a gallon of milk a day for my family) She didn't mind it at all. She never acted like it hurt or pinched. I think she was happy that it was a lot faster then me milking her. I do have to say that you have to be patient with it. It takes 15-20 seconds for the suction to build up on the udder for milk to start flowing well. Her udders were not discolored in any way after we were done.
