I’ve had this 12 tray dehydrator for a year. I’ve only used it to make dog treats-liver, chicken hearts, gizzards etc. I haven’t tried anything else like fruit or veggies. For the treats, they turn out great. I recently started putting stew meat and chicken breast tenders in it, also for dog treats. Everything turns out great! This dehydrator is so easy to use and very quiet. I have it in my garage, 1. For the liver smell and 2. Because it wouldn’t fit anywhere in my kitchen without taking up too much room. I’m thinking about getting some dehydrator silicone tray sheets so the meat doesn’t stick to trays. That’ll make for an easier clean up.

I upgraded from a version of the round tray dehydrators. This units dries so much more evenly. While the unit is on the larger size the space is used well with plenty of trays. I like the pull out drip tray that makes cleanup a breeze. There is a light inside that allows you to monitor the drying process. The controls are very user intuitive as well. While I do recommend reading the manual to every appliance you probably won’t need to here.

It’s huge. I normally keep it in a closet when I’m not using it when I am not using it because it does take up a lot of space.It doesn’t get so hot on the outside that I’m worried about touching it and burning myself or damaging my counters. It isn’t loud but does make a little sound. I often forget I have it on.My house is filled with big jerky eaters. I dehydrated 6-9 lbs a week. We like it very dry, thin and simple with just salt. I don’t follow the directions in the book for jerky. I turn it all the way up and dehydrate it for much longer than directed to get crisp almost chip like jerky. It doesn’t take 8-9 hours like my 5 tray dehydrator I got from Walmart. I can easily dehydrate meat in 3 hours.I’ve had it for a couple of months and have used it a lot! The machine works great. It’s easy to use. And is easy to clean.When I received it, I washed it, then turned it on high for a couple of hours to get rid of the smell that I read about but didn’t experience.I love it. I hope it works a long time!

We tried a smaller dehydrator before purchasing this unit, but the smaller dehydrator didn't have sufficient capacity for our needs. This unit allows us to dry a fairly large quantity of food at once. After using this almost daily for a month, we're very happy with its performance. We very much like that this dehydrator has all metal components - no plastic. It's very simple to use and easy to clean, and as others have mentioned it's QUIET - the fans are effectively silent! The only suggested improvement would be the addition of a light switch, because if it's plugged in, the light is on. IMO That's a very minor issue - just unplug it when you're not using it.
