If I had more money, I’d buy business class lie-flat seats. Since I don’t have the funds for that, this $16 eye mask is a small investment in coach class comfort. I’ve tried various neck pillows, none of which worked well. This is the most compact I’ve seen of this type of airplane head strap, since it doesn’t provide any kind of cushion for the head or neck - it’s just two straps that hold the head rest. I’m happy to make this tradeoff as I’m a onebagger, and need my luggage as light and compact as possible. This product comes with two simple components - the straps I mentioned that go around the headrest, and a thick 3D eye mask used to secure your head to the straps. Together, there is no stretch so your head is firmly held straight up. I’m used to eye masks and would wear one anyways to block light, but for those that don’t like this, you can wear it around your forehead instead. The mask is pretty firm and not as comfy as others I own, but its strength is needed for its primary purpose. Sarisun has thoughtfully designed the eye mask to be used on its own as a sleep mask at the hotel, saving more space in my bag. I’ll use care when peeling the velcros apart as they seem to be glued on and not sewn - if the velcros fail, it’s useless. There will be variability based on your size, and the particular airplane seats. Even if I only get one international roundtrip’s use out of this, it’s worth the small price.

I am always looking for a better sleep mask. I have tried quite a few, and this one falls somewhere in the middle of the pack. This is a 3-D Sleep Mask. It includes some straps you can attach to the mask, then wrap around a headrest so you can sleep sitting up. I did not test the mask with these extra straps. I have been looking for a 3D sleep mask with a velcro strap, as the buckles can dig into your head when you toss and turn. The velcro closure is the best part of this mask. It attaches firmly and is not uncomfortable to lay on. It does not dig into your head at all. However, the rest of the strap lacks any degree of stretchiness. That means you cannot just pull it up if you wake in the middle of the night because you need a bathroom run. You actually have to unfasten and refasten the mask, which is something I do not like at all. If you fasten the velcro loose enough to be able to slide up the mask on to your forehead, it leaks light around all sides, which defeats the purpose of wearing a sleep mask in the first place. The second drawback is you have to fasten this thing really tight, or light leaks in terribly. Even tightly fastened, you get more light leakage around the nose than is usual with sleep masks. If you try to bend it a little for a better fit elsewhere, the light leakage is worse. And this thing is really stiff, lacking any kind of stretchiness for adjusting it in any way after it is fastened. The mask is also extremely large, covering all the way up your forehead. I have a very high forehead, kind of like Christina Ricci, and it almost went too high up for me. Most sleep masks just cover your eyebrows, but this one covers your whole forehead. If you have any type of bangs, you may have an issue with your hair getting in the way.The eye holes on this mask are small and shallow too. Considering the large size of this mask, it's strange that it has such small, shallow eyeholes. The holes are too small for you to really open your eyes at all with this mask on, and my eyelashes did brush against it. I prefer sleep masks that have deeper and larger holes. These are so shallow, it barely constitutes a 3D sleep mask, and is much closer to a flat one. This is unique as in it has the attachment straps. I will probably relegate this to my travel drawer, and not use it as an every-night sleep mask, as I had hoped to. The only part of this mask I really liked is the strap, but even that needs some elasticity or some degree of stretch to make it perfection. So unless you are looking for a sleep mask you can attach to a headrest so you can sleep sitting up, you may want to look for a better mask. But if you want this unique feature, and not something you can use every night, you might want to give this mask a try. That is a feature unique to this mask, so you can put up with the negatives to get this unique feature.

Got this for longer flights to avoid head flop and sore neck. This is actually much smaller than I expected, which makes it a huge bonus for travel-ability. It comes in a small sack that is about the size of a medium fist. It's all soft so it can be compressed to even smaller. The material itself is very soft and feels good on the skin. The best part about it is the cut out for where your eyeballs are so there's extra padding kind of like the shape of a googles so if you lean into the mask there's no pressure on your eyeballs, which is really nice. There's a little bit of light leakage from the bottom. The adjustability is there but it's a little annoying because it's all Velcro so it's very noisy and super grippy. There is no stretch in any of the material Got this for longer flights to avoid head flop and sore neck. This is actually much smaller than I expected, which makes it a huge bonus for travel-ability. There is no stretch in any of the material either for the mask or the two side straps. That's good in the sense of support, but from accomplish perspective, a little bit of stretch might be nice.So this definitely helps with head flop although it's a little awkward to get on and off. You can also just wear it as a regular sleep mask without the straps and you just felt the max to itself in the back.

This eye mask is very stiff and wrinkly. There isn't much cushion on the nose bridge area, so significant amount of lights passes through. Not comfortable at all.

I travel a ton for my business and spend quite a lot of time on long flights. One of the hottest things to do is get comfortable and sleep well on airline seat. I've tried everything from regular eyes masks to neck pillows and nothing comes close to the SARISUN Airplane Head Strap 3D Eye Mask. This mask works with most airline seat headrests and comes with 2 straps that allow you to attach the eye mask to the headrest. This will keep your head upright while you sleep. The eye mask blocks out all light and is really comfortable. Unlike a lot of IMS on the market, this one has padding that keeps the actual mask off of your eyes. To use it, wrap a strap around the end of each side of the headrest and then put the mask straps through the headrest straps. Sit in your seat and pull the connected mask down over your eyes. When you fall asleep, the mask will keep your head from Rolling side to side because it's attached to the headrest. It is real comfortable and I find that it helps me sleep so much better. We could also use it as a regular I messed without attaching it, like in your hotel or home. Fishing travel a lot I highly recommend using one of these.
