This is a great and portable wire tester for anyone into AV! Also, the company has quite a righteous sense of humor right! While this item is made with tuff metals and well constructed and it does test cables I was hoping for something else, which I don’t even know exists? I was hoping to use this cable tester to see if my speaker wire run had any damage to it or bad connections within the 7.2.4 network. Unfortunately, to test that using this meter you have to have the beginning and end of the speaker wire terminals. It sure would be nice to know if my speaker wire runs were damaged or not and if so which ones as my AVR output transistors just blew up🙂

De muy buen material, solo que el LED cuando estás probando los cables es muy brillante y lastima si lo vez directamente, incluso tengo que tapar el led para poder revisar los parámetros

El material es de buena calidad, es fácil de usar y muy intuitivo. Lo he ocupado sin ninguna problema principalmente en eventos en vivo y la calidad de construcción aguanta el entorno de trabajo rudo.

This tester is very helpful in finding the issue. Example: I had a new 6 channel snake. Channel 2 stopped working. I assumed it was the xlr male connector, so I cut that off and put on a better quality connector. Still not working. Problem was in the box - connected the Mackie tester to the box and plugged in an xlr to complete the circuit. Pin 2 showed no light. Applied hot soldering iron to pin 2, pressed it in, and fixed. Light came on the tester, so you know you got it. Kind of removes the guess work, right? Very pleased with the unit and impressed with its quality. Cheap! Printing a chart of what the lights mean could be helpful, but it is pretty easy to figure out. There's videos on youtube.
