I’m always looking for a good colored pencil sharpener. I’m an art teacher (avg 350 students) and need a good one that lasts. These are heavy duty, easy to grip and high quality! Would def order again. The kids also voted that they were good!

I like these much but am disappointed that Staedtler does not sell replacement blades either with the pack or separate. I looked everywhere unsuccessfully.

We purchased this for a booster draft and were really happy with how it turned out. We ended up with 6 mythic rares and 35 rares during the draft between 4 of us. The gatecrash set does a fantastic job to be used for a booster draft since it's all based around multi mana cards. Because off that building a deck from a few booster packs is really easy!

Overall great set for the price. This set is great for sealed play as well as drafting and really any limited format. Lots of good playable cards as well as a lot of cool flavor, and some good pull rates (got 5 mythics!) and shock-lands are very sought after (Got lucky and pulled 3 from the box). Tons of multicolored cards focusing on 5 guilds which makes limited play that much better. Overall very pleased with pulls and had a great time playing sealed with some friends before adding the cards to my collection.

If you are looking to do a draft among friends or even just to open some packs on your own, this is an excellent (albeit expensive) way to do that. Keep in mind that a regular booster pack for a current set will typically cost four dollars from most retailers (mileage may vary at local game stores) and that a booster box consists of thirty-six booster packs. While booster boxes are technically worth $144 at MSRP (the price of thirty-six booster packs at four dollars each), most vendors consider it a bulk buy and lower the price substantially. So for the current price of ninety-six dollars you are paying two dollars and sixty-four cents per a booster pack. This is obviously much, much cheaper than buying individual booster packs at four dollars a pop. Just do not expect to necessarily 'break even' or make a profit on opening a booster box like this one. If it were feasible to regularly do so, vendors would just open the boxes and sell the cards as singles! Thus, if you are considering buying a booster box just to expand your collection, then do not do it under the hollow assumptions of breaking even or turning a tidy profit. You buy a booster box to draft or to just have fun opening a ton of booster packs! As long as you can afford to pay up front and were going to be buying a lot of booster packs at once, this will actually cut down the cost compared to buying 'loose' or individual booster packs. That said, with my booster box, I enjoyed opening it mightily and it was a treat to do so. If I plan on purchasing another one, you can bet I'll come to Amazon for the free shipping and the prices are usually great.

I purchased this Gatecrash booster box to draft with my friends, and draft we did! This set is awesome for new players and old. My friends and I just recently got back into MTG again and this was our first box of the more recent sets. Granted, it isn’t as amazing as some of the other sets I’ve played, but it is very good.Back in RavnicaWhen Ravnica City of Guilds came out in 2005 it shook the MTG world with the introduction of hybrid mana cards, and guilds tying together the colors like never before, here we are back in Ravnica with the Return to Ravnica block! The Second SetWhile Return to Ravnica explored 5 guilds, Guild Pact explores the other 5 guilds. It might be a good idea to glance at them and their color combinations before choosing between this box and a Return to Ravnica Box. (pro-tip: the Dragon’s maze set contains all 10 guilds, but much less variety within card selection for each)The five guilds of Gatecrash:Boros Legion (red and white)House Dimir (black and blue)Gruul Clans (green and red)Orzhov Syndicate (white and black)Simic Combine (blue and green)New Mechanics5 new mechanics were introduced in the Gatecrash set, here is a summary of them and what they do.Battalion- whenever this creature and at least two other creatures attack, blah blah blah happens.Extort- whenever you play a spell, you may pay 1 white or black mana for each permanent in play with extort and steal X life from your opponents.Evolve- whenever a creature comes into play that has a power or toughness greater than this creature, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature.Cipher- You can exile (remove from the game) this spell after you cast it and then encode it on a creature you control, whenever that creature deals combat damage to a player, the creature’s controller may cast a copy of the card without paying the mana cost.Bloodrush- You can discard this card for its ‘bloodrush’ cost and give extra stats to a creature you control, usually +x/+x or something similar. (This is used as an instant, and only on ‘attacking’ creatures)ConclusionI might be a bit of a fan boy, but I love Ravnica, and I love the idea of my deck meaning something, being a part of a guild or an alliance of 2 or 3 guilds against other. That added to the fact that this set is incredibly fun and easy to draft with made this box a real winner with my friends and I. All of the above being said, this wasn’t better than the first Ravnica, and it wasn’t better than Shards of Alara, or Mirrodin, etc. It is a very good set, but it doesn’t rank among the bestPurchasing Tip: 95 bucks with free shipping is about as good as it gets for a product like this, not to mention that if you buy 2, draft 1 and put the other in the closet for a couple years, it might be worth 200 bucks in a few years!
