This lightweight umbrella-pole light is reasonably bright. It was very easy to install, and can be clipped onand off your patio umbrella with ease. It offers 3 different lighting intensities, accessed by a simple push button on it's surface.I have had this umbrella light on my umbrella for about a month now. We like playing dice and cards out on our patio at night, and we keep it running for hours sometimes. We have not been required to change the batteries once so far. We turn it up on full brightness to play cards, write scores, etc, then lower it while eating or conversing. It loses 1 star, however, because it is built so thinly. I'm afraid if we drop it, the thin, brittle plastic may crack. I'm also unclear on how weatherproof this unit is, since we roll down our umbrella when the forecast calls for rain, requiring us to remove the light (the umbrella cannot close with this large lamp still attached to it).For the price, however, it seems like a good light that has been serving us well so far.

Turned it on once, it worked, then nothing. Wouldn't turn on. New batteries, etc.PLUS...I now get the joy of paying for the shipping to return this piece of junk.

I ordered two of these for our two outdoor tables and they came really quickly, which is great since pool weather is here! after putting in the four AA batteries (not included), we set one up with the lights facing down and one with the lights facing up, awesome! The effect is totally different and both will be fun to use at different times. The three light settings are a great feature, allowing you to determine the amount of light you have for, say, dinner with friends, playing cards with family, or drinking a glass of wine with that special someone! And they just open up and snap together around the umbrella pole with a very nice grip, but you can move it up and down the pole without having to re-open it.I highly recommend this product, it is totally worth the cost and very well made!

If you're reading this for disc golf reasons, just buy these.I've tried clipping on tactical style flashlights (expensive and eat batteries), the cheap blue hanger lights from harbor freight (you'll need a few per light, they work ok), and then some lanterns recommended by another disc golfer, which were the best yet but had pros and cons. No, you want these. Steal of a price, though you'll need to order some cheap AA's (not included), adjustable brightness, omni directional which is great, so you're not getting blinded from wrong angle or in a shadow, they don't get in the way of a putt at all, and you can even add a second under the basket facing up.They look great and work great and no fuss (they stay where you put them), so for the price, the only con I can think of is you're not about to toss a few in your pocket, they are the diameter of a disc and a little thicker, though the packaging they come in is perfect for you to use to sell and ship a disc.Easiest 5 stars possible.Source: Have 6 hole course in yard, GF has putting basket in hers, and we go play night golf elsewhere too. Tested mostly on MVP/Axiom baskets so far but they have a friction rubber/spring design, basket brand shouldn't matter.
