Mål stationery is uniformly beautiful. From their notebooks to their journals, and now to this Mindfuless pack.As with everything Mål makes, the packaging design is gorgeous, and minimalist and tactile.Inside the box there are 52 different cards with prompts to relax or calm your mind in various ways. This isn't mumbo jumbo new age nonsense - it's very practical suggestions for ways to feel less anxiety, or to sleep better, or to find quiet moments of calm in a busy day.The box is small enough to keep with you at all times and I'm going to try to build a habit: if things ever feel a little too stressful or overwhelming, I'll pull out a card and take 10 minutes to do what it says. You get 52 cards in the box - presumably the goal is to do one a week so it lasts a full year - and you may need more than one in any given day, so 52 will give you lots of variation. At the time of writing, the box is £13.95 which isn't cheap. But it's lovely, and genuinely beneficial, so it's worth every penny.

I think as days get more and more complex and difficult to cope with, lots of us are turning toward meditation and mindfulness to help ourselves calm and focus. I was keen to try this card sample, as it can be easier to focus on outside instructions than listen to your inner voice. These cards are about the size and shape of a deck of cards, so small enough to slip in your bag and take with you if you wish. They are packaged in a grey box with black text, which helps create a calm and professional vibe. Inside are 52 cards, printed with a variety of mindfulness exercises and prompts; ranging from smiling at yourself to promote wellbeing, to listening to others as well as your own body. The prompts are all simple and easily achievable, and really just help to remind ourselves that it is okay to take a little time and space to ensure your own well being. I really loved this set - I found them simple, not at all patronising and they have helped me to create a little extra calm for myself, which is something I really craved. Priced at just under £14, these are a really good little life hack!

The Mal Paper Mindfulness Deck is something that can very easily be incorporated into your daily routine. Wake up in the morning (or before you go to bed), pick out the card at the front of the deck and that's your goal for the day/next day. Some of the cards are things you can think about throughout the day whereas others may just be something like connecting with nature in your morning routine even if it's just for 5 minutes or taking time at the end of the work day to transition into home life. Some suggestions for the day may take more work than others - e.g. clearing your workspace compared to creating a tea/coffee ritual to slow down, feel the warmth of the mug and savour the flavour. There's nothing mind blowing about what you're being asked to do but it can bring about a sense of awareness and being more present. With their only being 52 cards it will mean repetition throughout the year if you're reading a card a day but I think it would be quite interesting to see how I react to the card one day compared to another. I love the compactness of them as it is just the same size as a pack of cards and would make a really nice gift.
