Was looking for chuck jaws to fit 1-5/8 recess. These work fine and fit a Tinkerbay chuck. Can’t use for heavy turning as the just have one screw per jaw but they work with that brand chuck.

I was ready to buy a nova but ran across this chuck. Fit on my new jet lathe nice. Runs smoothly an holds good while turning. Only problem I had so far when I was on the inside of a bowl I hit a knot an it came of the chuck. Only happened once. Tighten it down good an worked fine. For the money it’s a good buy. I’m a novice at wood turning so I wouldn’t no how much better a nova is for an extra hundred buck.

I recently got into bowl turning on my lathe and needed a chuck for the process. Finding this one was a blessing. Most others I had looked at were very expensive and did the same job.It comes with an adapter to fit most lathes. It was very easy to install and use. It holds very securely. I did not have any issues with it coming loose.I would highly recommend this lathe chuck to anyone looking for a reliable and economical addition to their lathe.

I bought this thinking it would be good enough for the turning I do. However, I wish that I spent more money and bought a high quality one. If doing light work and small projects it seems to do well.
