This dress form is an addition to my daughters sewing room. The foam is pinnable, the body form is black, sturdy, but could use support, easy movable parts, my daughter uses it to take photo's of her work.

The quality of this mannequin was WAY better than I expected. The material is a beautiful black velvet over a hard plastic body. I was so happy to find out this one was NOT that cheap styrofoam body. It is very lightweight less than 10 pounds.Instructions seemed simple and easy enought to understand and follow. However, I did not need the instructions because it was very easy to put together and had no problems at all.Shipping was incredibly FAST. Mine came a week early to my surprise. I was extremely happy with that. The packaging was really great and they packed it very well. I was actually impressed with how they managed to get everything in the box securely and kept any damage from happening to the torso of the mannequin. Each small piece was wrapped in card board and bubble wrap. There was also styrofoam keeping the post of the base from being damaged.10/10 HIGHLY recommend this mannequin if you are using it for small tasks. I probably would not use it for seamstress purposes because I would not say this is pinnable. If you are using it for taking pictures of items for sale and clothing, absolutely. I am using mine to put my clothes on for pictures to post them for sale.Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase and so thankful for everyone that made their reviews. I went through and read a lot of them and the description before I purchased. So glad I chose this one over the others I had been looking at. 10/10 recommend!

I purchased this to make a mannequin Christmas tree. It came in perfect shape and is really quite lovely. The black velvet body is pretty and the stand is sturdy and goodlooking.

Otherwise, it's a great display! I use mine for beading and sewing collar necklaces - then displaying what I've made. Looks very professional and nice. The black is velvet, however, so it picks up dust and fibers and anything else in the air like mad. I also found that the base needs retightening often - however it's so light-weight that this isn't much an issue to tip and twist to tighten. I may end up gluing mine solid just to save the hassle.EDIT: I have since ordered another for displaying my artwork. A little wood glue in the stand was needed in the first after months of using it to pin my beadwork as I beaded on it, but it took a lot of heavy use before coming to that.

I searched high and low for the best option to hold my wife's dress inside the display case I built in our closet. View from our bedroom looks straight at it. Not only is this mannequin aesthetically pleasing but did the job wonderfully. I needed a mannequin that was tall, without much color or stuff on the top, held the dress tightly without sliding down, doesn’t take away from the dress, and that I could build into a display case. I ended up cutting the legs slightly to fit inside the cabinet and put a piece of wood under the main post for added support (the dress is quite heavy). I then screwed it to a flat board that I secured inside the cabinet. I also used fitting clips (ASIN: B011Y94AGK) to secure the dress in the back. I finished the cabinet by installing LED light strips inside the frame and putting a piece of glass on the front, because once I closed it up, it's not meant to be able to move or adjust. Overall very happy with the way it turned out, display is 72x30 for reference.
