It has a great weight to it and is easy to wash right at home. No issues using my personal washer and dryer and still is soft after multiple washes too.

I cant believe i never discovered this magic blanket earlier. I have anxiety and adhd, and often have issues sleeping, and then staying asleep. this actually helped me stay asleep for longer periods of time. i use this weighted blanket along with a heated eye compress (on very low heat setting, 40min timer), 3mg melatonin, put on one of my podcasts i enjoy on light volume on my phone speaker, and fall asleep within 10-15minutes.

In complete fairness, I just wanted to give you guys a good rating, and be on my way. But Amazon took it upon themselves to hold me hostage, and are now forcing me to put words down against my will. The blanket is soft, I'm sleeping better after starting to use it, it is a good weight, and I enjoy it. Have I written enough down Amazon? Or am I going to be beaten again?*Ouch*I was stricken: "for asking a foolish question"

If you're seeing other blankets for $80+, don't bother, buy this! I did some research and just ended up ordering this for Christmas. It's weight distribution is great, its fairly soft, and seems to be great quality. Most of the marketing from other blankets is around "weight distribution" and "square size". This blanket does a great job and I'm not quite sure what value a more expensive blanket would provide. Most of the value of a weighted blanket can be obtained via this one!A couple notes:1. It's not "bed queen size" as it doesn't hang over the bed sides, but covers the top.2. It's not meant to be "super soft" or "incredibly warm", but inherently is, which is great!Seriously, snap up this deal (or even better, ask for it for Christmas!)

Well, I surely do now from the first night onward. Hands down the best investment I have made in YEARS. I no longer toss or turn like I used to do. Not a hot blanket either, by the way. I do use a top sheet between the blanket and my body though. Also, be sure to keep it pretty much on the surface of the bed so it does not hang over the edges. Otherwise, the little glass beads may pool in spots. However, one can easily smooth them out. Worth the purchase. Bought another one for my daughter in law!
