I got this chainstay/downtube protector combo knowing that my skinner steel frame wouldn't work with the larger downtube protector, so I never installed that. I did install the chainstay protector. The steel frame can make a ton of noise with chain slap so this fixed that pronto. The problem is it doesn't look that great. I did cut it to fit and it was super easy to manipulate and install. Perhaps it will work on a beefier carbon or aluminum frame. I do plan to keep it on despite its looks since it super good at silencing chain noise on rugged trails.

It's quite thin, but I suppose still able to protect the paint job from slingshots. The provided pictures don't portray the actual product well. The down tube protector is too short, and the ridges for the chainstays ain't as pronounced.Edit: Upon second look, they sent me the wrong style, and now it makes sense. I thought I was getting the 214 model, instead I received model 211.
