This is the best! I just made chicken sandwich meat using the enclosed recipe & it is great. Best of all, I know exactly what I am eating! Really, really good! Considering the price of good sliced meat, the cost of this unit is very quickly erased with regular use. It's a win-win situation.

I bought this back in Oct 2024. I just got around to using it & noticed the metal plate on the spring did not come with my kit. I love this product, but would be easier with that flat metal plate. I did order more bags on Amazon but cannot seem to find that flat plate.

I wish there were more recipes. We couldnt find thyme here in stores so came up with our own version. It was tasty and a bit difficult to maintain temp. Chicken was crumbly. So I wish there was a forum to go ask questions. A bit tricky to assemble as cap didnt really want to lock down. All in all a nice new thing to add variety and cut costs. Im not likjng how long it takes , but hey good things,

The title mentions ham, but I've made chicken and beef lunchmeat and have yet to make ham in it. It's easy to use. Instead of trying to maintain the proper temperature on the stove, I use this press in a sous vide bath, allowing the water to be at least up to the level of the meat but without getting water into the press. It works in sous vide just fine without having to worry about overcooking. The device is very sturdy and might be a little fiddly getting the spring-loaded lid on, but once I got the hang of it, it's a non-issue.
