Overall, would recommendIt's a toilet seat! Not quite sure how else to expand on it in terms of functionality... Nonetheless! Suppose I'll comment on the "Unique" pieces as to why I chose this one as opposed to others.Closing: Slow & NiceOne of the main things I wanted. Annoying when you're not paying attention and "BAM!" Toilet seat just slams down at Mach Speed, shattering porcelain and scaring every fluffy critter in the nearby vicinity into running and hiding under your bed in fear as they cower over the sound of crackling thunder within the household - which clearly heralds the beginning of an attack by an Angered Olympian God.This one? Nice. Once it was bolted in it just kind of slowly lowers itself - just be wary of the aforementioned fluffy critters who may view it as an opportunity to explore the untold depths of the potty!Cleaning: Diet DependentAmazon asked me to rate this one. Uh... it's a toilet seat. Could be super easy or a nightmare to clean depending on a variety of factors that I feel I would be better off not detailing within this review. But if you're feeling spicy - feel free to go searching!Installation: Super simple.Had all the items and things needed to install. Hand tightening so didn't even need to worry about any tools (or possibility of a tool cracking your toilet!)Issue: Minor Break on ShippingOne of the hinges had snapped/come loose in shipping. But I could still just snap it on top - and they're just the little things that sit on top so you're not staring at a screw behind your seat so the extent that elicited from me was a shrug and an "Oh... Ok, anyways"

Hubby is disabled and needs to slide from toilet seat to shower branch and back. The old seat would slide and slip on him. This one stays firm and secure. We have them in both bathrooms now.

I can't really fault this toilet seat/cover for not being a good fit on our toilet. I measured the toilet before ordering and I assumed that our toilet was oblong because it was longer from front-to-back than from side-to-side. AND the dimensions were exactly the dimensions shown in the description and diagram.However, it doesn't really fit like it should.Admittedly, I don't know that much about the variety of toilets and what the terms mean. I suppose that our toilet is not exactly "oblong" perhaps as defined by the toilet industry.The seat and cover fit over the bowl, but stick out at the front and everything overhangs by about two inches. The inner bowl is also visible in the front when the lid is up. So even though I measured the distances in the descriptions, it still isn't a great fit for our specific bowl.For now, it suffices, but it's definitely noticeable and it is more than a little bit inconvenient. I wish they had explained that the differing definitions of "oblong" a little more clearly.Other than the fit, this would be a great toilet seat. It has many nice features compared to other seats. It's durable, very tough plastic, NOT enameled composite that eventually wears out and warps like the cheaper seats. I like the "slow close" mechanism. It was very easy to install. I like that the seat mounting screws have an automatic torque detection -- part of the plastic mounting screws twist off when you've reached the correct torque. That's good for one install, but once the top plastic is twisted off, no automatic torque if you have to remove the seat and replace -- which is sort of a negative side to that.Overall, if it weren't for the wrong fit, this would have been a great purchase. For now, I'll make do (no pun intended) with this seat until I can find a fitting replacement.
