The radius gauge seems to work just fine, however, they are bathed in a lubricant, I can only guess so that they don't stick together/you can slide them. Be prepared with a lot of paper towels or something.

Rivets at the enclosure holding the blades together are well made, so these tolls will last a lifetime. Yes, they come in an oiled condition, this is ncessary as the blades are made of some spring steel and will corrode if left in a moist environment. All tools require care and a protective oil film to last. It is recommended to wipe off factory oiling and apply new oil to protect against corrosion. This toolset receives my highest recommendation.
