These sound beautiful and are perfect for playing Salsa beats! They are very well built and are a great quality product. The sounds are amazing even when played at a low volume. The heads offer a dynamic sound that I love. These bongos tune up quickly and easily in seconds. No matter how high or low you tune them you get a supreme tone out of them. The price is very reasonable for the high quality of this instrument too. I am going to have some fun with these!

I returned the one I bought from Amazon.It was very hard to tune.I don't know if it was a returned item, which someone had returned without de-tuning; had sat around in Amazon's stock, fully tuned.I subsequently ordered one through my local music store, which turned out to be a great bongo.I play it almost daily.One thing important to remember is that you may not want to buy a Bongo without playing it first.I went to the local music store and played a few different bongos, which sounded much different than this one.I like the sound of this bongo and the looks of it too.So, I lucked out, even though I never played it before buying it.This may not always be the case, shall we say? :)Fair Disclosure: I am a novice bongocero.
